I ate here several times when staying in Asakusa. They have a very good breakfast selection, with each option in English and Japanese with pictures. There are several egg options, with toast, and more traditional Japanese ones with rice. I would say this is a...More

We visited the place for breakfast and it was quite packed with locals. The cafe is not big, so it can be a little cramp/cozy. The food was good and affordable, but do note that smoking is permitted inside the cafe. This might turn some...More

This cafe has good food, good coffee, and great decor. The seats are comfortable. Mostly local crowd chatting and reading newspapers. Free wifi. Indoor smoking allowed, so you have to be able to tolerate cigarette smoke.

Coming from the US we are suffering severe jetway, so by 5 am, we would be out of the hotel. Now coming to the different attractions early has its advantages, you have the place to yourself but what difficult is to find any place that...More

Cute little cafe with some yummy food and great decor. Very nice staff and opens at 6:30am, so great to fortify oneself there before a big day of travelling

Nice meal and cozy atmosphere to relax. The only problem is that smoking is allowed in the cafe, but I think it is fine to me.

Tiny cafe, upstairs in a shopping arcade in Asakusa. Very friendly staff, authentic atmosphere, lots of locals coming in for their breakfast. They gave me a parting gift, a sample of the coffee they use, especially for foreign visitors since it comes with a note...More

Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
