Before visiting Tsuta, I read 3-4 articles on the internet about how to line up, only to discover yesterday when I got there (at 7:40am) that the process had changed. Most of the stuff you read on the internet about lining up is from 2018...or earlier. This is for November 2019 on (until they change it again) There are now only two time slots if you go early before the shop opens to claim tickets, 11am and 12pm. I got in line just before 7am and it was about 25-30 people deep. The shop opened around 7:05 to hand out tickets. You deposit ¥1000 per ticket (they return it when you return, and only one member of a group needs to show up to get tickets so someone can take one for the team) and choose a time slot, white card for 11am, blue card for noon. I'm assuming now that there's only 2 time slots, and not 6 like there used to be, they run out quicker (at least by 7:40am on a sunny Saturday). He'll tell you to show up 15 minutes before your time slot to queue. This does not guarantee that you'll be seated at your time since there'll be other people in the one hour time slot as well, but you should be served within the hour or so. If you don't score a ticket or if you don't want to wake up early to claim one, you can come back at 1pm to stand in line. This would be a normal queue like most other ramen shops. Hope this helps anyone looking for info! Ignore all the old blog posts out there, showing up at 8am or 9am does not get you a ticket.More

Nothing I can say can accurately depict the amazing experience of eating here. Make sure you arrive early in the morning to get your lunch slot, you have to pay a booking fee that will later be reimbursed when you show up for lunch. Enjoy!

Tried the truffle ramen, Truffle serving was more than expected. It is good but I am not crazy over it. You need to go to the shop early in the morning to get a ticket and time slot. Return to the shop at the given...time, queue again, order through the machine. No tickets needed if you come after 1pm. Walk in only after 1pm onwards.More

No need to mention the fame and international rating of this place. I question the sliced truffles, less tasty than the amazing truffle sauce. This is a gorgeous ramen, with a wonderful soup, and much more than the truffles, you will be taken to heaven;y...heights by the bits of sweet preserved figs. Yes, do get your morning ticket and try to arrive at the end of your time slot, in order to avoid that 1-hour waiting time in line. And by all means it's worthwhile the wait.More

First you need to arrive early (7 A.M) the day of in order to get a ticket. It is 1000¥ deposit per person ( they refund you when you order your ramen ). Second you get in line 30-40 min before your timing (recommended) in...order to actually get inside at for your timing. For example, even if your timing is 11 A.M it's doesn't mean you will get in at 11 A.M because there is like 20 person with 11 A.M as a timing. So get there early. There is only 10 place inside which is great to enjoy your ramen intimately. I don't have to review the Ramen because it is a 1 Michelin Star Ramen and in just a tourist so it's doesn't matter hahah. Yes !!! It's was amazingly good. Worth the 3000¥ for my truffle ramen. It's a a life time experience. Do it !!!More

The ticketing system is frustrating, but worth it! I used to work 5 mins from the shop, and it was my greatest pleasure to pop in for a lunch ticket at 8am on my way to work - though kind of crazy that it was...necessary, haha!More

I came to Tsuta for their famous shoyu ramen. I had ajitama shoyu - this is the same as their basic bowl of shoyu, with an egg added. My favourite part was the broth, probably the best broth I've ever had. The noodles, pork and...other toppings were all good, nothing amazing. The egg was cooked a bit too firm for my preference. The amazing broth still makes it a 5-star meal! It does take a bit of effort to eat at Tsuta, so make sure you set aside enough time. I arrived at 8am to buy a ticket, waited half an hour & was able to buy a ticket at 8:30am. I came back at 11:50am with my 12pm ticket, and I was seated at 12:50pm. An hour and a half of waiting total, but it was worth it for me to have a guaranteed seat.More

The wait wasn't too bad. I've heard horror stories about it, but I dropped by around 8:30 AM to pick up 2 tickets on a Monday -- no waits, got them immediately for an 11 AM time slot. Came back at 11:15 AM and probably...waited 30 minutes. The ramen at Tsuta was better than most other ramen joints. I wasn't mind blown, but I loved the ramen. I do think it was a little too hyped, and I also went when the wontons weren't available for their signature shoyu bowl. Either way, I enjoyed checking off the to-do list that I went to the first ever Michelin starred ramen restaurant.More

There's plenty of reviews out there, so if I were you do try it for yourself and decide for yourself it will be worth it. Got there at 8AM on a Saturday so end up with the last of the 12PM reservation slots. Went around...Sugamo to wait it out, came back just before 11:30AM and lined up to get our tickets. Was able to place an order at 12:30, then another 15 minutes wait for a table for three. Ordered number 1 on the menu plus extra egg and pork, worth the wait even when it is not my type of ramen. I prefer the thick sauce, this has a more delicate broth but it still hits the spot.More

If you like Ramen you have to go there. We were there really early to get our ticket but waited around 1,5 hours to finally taste the delicious Ramen. It´s definitely worth the long waiting hours, just stay in line and keep up. You won´t...regret it, I promise.More
