Decent enough food but service was incredibly poor . I've been going since the late 90's and really sad to see this is no longer the fine dinning experience it once was .

A must go to enjoy great live music with a breathtaking view of Tokyo. I suggest to arrive around 7pm. Better to book in advance. I had a Negroni on the rocks and it was not bad. There is a sitting fee of around USD15...per person that will be charged on top of you order.More
Eating steak in Tokyo seems like a waste given the immense food choices in the city. Eating here, however, is a must do checklist item. I could just sit here in the evenings and stare into the view for hours. Fantastic place, with really good...steaks. Good bourbon and whiskey selection albeit it pricey. Hope they are able to keep the charm going for many more decades.More

Visited the New York Grill yesterday on the 52nd floor of Park Hyatt Tokyo. I would recommend an evening visit - the boundless views of Tokyo at night were simply stunning! Reservations can be made simply via the official website. Wonderful food and drinks options...with dietary requirements easily accommodated. We selected from the á la carte menu but there are set menus available. The service was exceptional from start to finish - attentive but discreet. You truly felt looked after. The live music was a great accompaniment too. After three courses and many cocktails later, we were ready to go home but we did so happily. Would visit again when I am next in Tokyo! Please consider adding to your list. Must visit!More

My husband and i had a great evening, thanks to « Voyageurs du Monde » we obtained a window seat and of course, what a view from the 52 nd floor for dinner. The food was very well executed and the service was tip top, efficient, personable,...pro as you would expect when combining american and Japanese sense of hospitality. We moved over to the bar section after dinner for cocktails and to listen to the band - a very nice evening.More

The New York Grill rally elevates what an American restaurant should be. Not just because of the 52nd floor view but because of the food. The American classics are there but executed with flair and taste. The crab cakes were amazing. The chef tasting menu...was a great way to discover how good this restaurant was. A very nice American wine list complements well the food.More

Ate here with friends last week, and it was amazing. The view from the restaurant is absolutely breathtaking at night, with the city lights shining below in every direction as far as you can see. The music was a very pleasant background, with a small...group doing jazz standards very proficiently. And the food was fantastic, with a great menu to choose from. Altogether, it made for a very memorable night!More

The brunch, the view, the service--all combine to make for a heavenly experience! The 52nd floor provides a setting not to be missed!
While it is not at all traditional Japanese food you may be looking for on your trip to Tokyo, the food is so delicious. Yes it is expensive, but worth every cent. The view of Tokyo is incredible, the service is top notch and the...atmosphere is perfect for a date night. While waiting for our food, we were able to have a drink in the lounge with live music. was absolutely incredible!!More
My partner and I visited the New York Grill in the Park Hyatt Hotel on our first trip to Tokyo. He loves the movie "Lost in Translation" and we felt it necessary to at least stop by. Because it is winter, we were able to...get a seat at the bar prior to when they start their cover charge and still get an amazing view of the city. The hostess let us know how long we could stay before there was a cover charge, which I appreciated. We were absolutely underdressed, but the staff was gracious and did not say anything to us about it. We ordered 1 drink each - they were roughly $20 USD a piece. We expected this kind of charge so were not surprised. The drinks were phenomenal - incredibly well poured. We stayed long enough to finish our drinks and left before the cover charge kicked in. The only negative aside from the price was the service was slow - really slow. Once we received our drinks, we did not see our waiter/server again until a new couple sat down opposite us and waited for 10-ish minutes. They never asked us if we wanted another drink or checked to see if we wanted to order anything else. The service could have been a little bit better. We were glad we went and had the experience. It is something we will both remember for the rest of our lives.More
With a fabulous view of Tokyo this restaurant never disappoints. Ask for a table near the window. Then both the food and ambience will be spectacular.
We had to go here for dinner while we stayed at Park Hyatt Hotel - well worth it. My husband had the Kobe beef and I had the Salmon - both very good - wines were disappointing but only because we are from Napa/Sonoma valley...- thought they could do better with their selection. Would go again - views are amazing.More
This exquisite and unique restaurant is a must for anyone who loves excellence and happens to be in Tôkyô. Long before it became blockbuster-famous and Japan became fashionable, it was already one of the top dining destinations in Tôkyô in the 90s, as it became...coveted locally as soon as the Park Hyatt Tôkyô opened, introducing a new era of unparalleled luxury in Japan. More glamorous than ever, over the past generation or so, it has turned into an international legend. It's easy to understand why: the food is out-of-this-world, the service is top-notch, professional and classy yet friendly, the views are arguably the best in town, and the very design of the whole property stands at the exact meeting point where traditional Japanese aesthetics and sleek modernity meet, for a perfect blend of sheer beauty and gemütlichkeit. On our last visit we introduced first-time visitors to Japan to the delights of a lunch at the New York Grill :-) We were very gracefully shown to our table of choice and served by Mr. Tobias Schreiner, and had a fabulous meal as expected. The lunch (or the brunch on holidays) will give you access to a fantastic buffet for the starter and dessert, with a main course of your choice served at your table in the interval. While the property is particularly renowned for the unsurpassed quality of its Japanese beef, their other options are equally scrumptious and hard to resist. Their fish option during that season came with an incredibly delicious hazelnut sauce that would justify the publishing of a New York Grill recipe book in itself! As a result, we couldn't resist returning several times during that season! Thank you to all the team at PHT for such sublime memories each time!More
