The service was fast and (not) furious. The food was delivered to us piping hot that was supposed to be served hot and ready to be feasted on. Families should visit this spot often due to its cosy atmosphere with traditional vibes which will absolutely also make you feel at ease and comfort too!

Visited off a recommendation from TikTok, very accommodating for dietary requirements including vegetarians, no fish and no egg. Service was amazing from start to end and very much enjoyed the dice game ending up in a mega pint of coke and whisky! Food was delicious and would definitely recommend - make sure you book in advance as the wait time can be long. We requested a table by the chefs cooking station which just added to the fun of the evening.

Booked a table for 6 a fews days before. Only had early and late timeslots, so we chose 5.45 slot which was perfect. Ordered the all you can eat and drink option and paid $50 per head. Because there was 5 of us we got two of every dish. The preceding dishes to the signature dishes were well cooked and very tasty. The final two noodle dishes were massive and we couldn't get through them. The drinks were great and there was no issue to order and reorder. We probably had 5-6 drinks each. So with the food and the drinks we feel that we got value for money. The waiters were very nice and we liked the way everyone shouted out when a new person entered the restaurant. It was my husbands birthday and I put this note into the booking but it didn't flow through to their system. But they rushed out and organised a board with Happy Birthday Michael on it and he had a bowl of 3 scoops of ice-cream. Everyone in the restaurant sang and it was a great moment. A very good time was had by everyone and I would recommend this restaurant for atmosphere.

This was a weird experience in a very good way! The restaurant is below ground in Shinjuku City. Remove shoes, slide into the table, and plastic babies in the table are chopstick holders. The food is good and weird. Get the Beef Tongue with garlic! And then the centerpiece :Okkon! Kind of a noodle pizza. Get the one with shrimp and avocado toppings. Delicious! Write a review and you can take a baby home :-) - HPayne, Detroit, MI

Passed by randomly on our way in kabukicho! Do note that reservation is required as we arrived at 7pm and was told the next available seating is at 9pm. We ordered the pork okonomiyaki, softshell shrimp and squid+ Japanese onion. Everything tasted great! The okonomiyaki is rather filling so do come with an empty stomach! The waiters have a special greeting to inform the entire kitchen of new customers, which I found quite amusing!

Delicious pasta dishes with plancha in a typical atmosphere, in the heart of Shinjuku. Not very easy to find because in the basement. We see the cooks busy. The service is dynamic. Very good value for money at quantity levels and very nice.

We were a party of 9, including 1 giddy toddler and what an experience we had. We all tried okonomiyaki for the first time and loved it. More importantly, the staff were so attentive and even helped to entertain our 2 year old (when in other restaurants he might not feel so welcome). A special shout out to Mya who went above and beyond in serving us and making it a pleasurable and memorable experience. It was our last night in Tokyo, so happy we had it here

Dining at the teppanyaki restaurant was an absolute treat. Watching the chef’s skillful cooking right in front of us was mesmerizing. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavour, while the seafood was incredibly fresh. A delightful and refined experience!

Walked in on Golden week and was able to be seated straight away. Ordered the Seared Beef and original Okonimiyaki as they can be made gluten free. Both were so amazing that we came back the following day for the same. Loved being able to see the food being made right in front of you! Price was good for Shinjuku.

Teppanyaki Baby Shinjuku Higashiguchi is a Teppanyaki restaurant in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm and perfect for dates and entertainment. The teppanyaki is made with fresh ingredients carefully baked and exquisitely heated. Especially the Japanese black beef steak is excellent. There is also a full side menu, with okonomiyaki and yakisoba recommended.

Booked in advance which was good, long queue on the stairs when we arrived. Most of the tables are not at the hobs, but you can watch the cooking on a TV screen (they seem to be live on youtube) from the other tables. Good vegetarian okonomiyaki. Very good sauce! Very friendly staff!

My husband and I came here on our first night in Shinjuku and were pleasantly surprised with how welcoming they were, how easy was to navigate the menu and order and how incredibly polite and helpful the staff were! We are hoping to find time on our trip to visit again. Highly recommend making a food stop here 😍

I’m shocked at the 5 star reviews here. We ate here tonight - service was non-existent, food was terrible (photo of octopus) & expensive for what it was. Don’t think there was much gin in my Gin & soda. Felt like they were riding on the 5 star reviews. Smoking is allowed.

Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
