We visited Plate Tokyo on a friends recommendation, and we certainly can now recommend this to everyone. Chef Ayano is a beautiful person, very talented Chef and amazing Sommelier. We were welcomed into the restaurant like dear friends, and the atmosphere was set for the...evening immediately. Ayano interacted with us throughout the whole evening, and presented us with stunning food, matched with spectacular wines. With each course we had the choice of several wines, and we took her advice on each which was always perfect. All wines served at Plate Tokyo are hand selected by Ayano. Being from New Zealand it was great to see Mahi Wine available as this is a stunning wine that Ayano has chosen to stock. The combination of flavours and textures were perfectly matched and each course delighted us. I definitely recommend anyone looking for a beautiful experience to choose Plate Tokyo for that occasion. Ayano, thank you for your warm hospitality and for making our evening in Tokyo a special one.More

Plate Tokyo is by far one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, period. Ayano-san, the owner, is a fantastically skilled and knowledgeable chef and sommelier who somehow manages to cook and present beautifully tasting and looking food while simultaneously merrily engaging with her guests...throughout their entire stay at her restaurant. I could not recommend Plate Tokyo more.More

The chef makes such beautiful meals, those meals do not only taste good and flesh, also you can feel like you just come to an art museum. Those're really artistic. The owner whose a sommelier license is affable and speaks English, you will definitely...likd the restaurant "Plate Tokyo."More

A great find. Very welcoming and hospitable. Makes you feel at home or traveling in Europe. Owner and Chef Ikai makes this place come alive from the moment you arrive. Chef Kentro Koyama delivered rich bright flavors starting with his beets and scallops carpaccio and...it only got better from there. Next was the winter salad dressed with a delightful soy sauce, dry fig, and cherry vinegar combination. Again, very nice! All the time, I kept admiring the feeling of the countryside, a villa, charm. The menu is a set menu with choices along the way between entrees and sides. The set menu is ever changing with new inspiration of the chef and the ingredients of the day. If I thought it was nicely done up to this point, It was truly topped by the next dish, lightly braised bamboo shoots and Hamaguri shellfish in garlic parsley butter. Talk about a symphony of flavors! The dishes kept coming, next with a salmon Norway and cabbage sauce soba. Thank you for a chef that knows how to cook salmon properly. Chef Kentro Koyama hit it perfectly; moist, not over done, and flavorful. My choice for main entree was between roasted Ezoshika deer from Hokkaido, grilled Waigu beef, or grilled Iwachu pork.I choose the deer. Delicious, tender, and surprising in its rich flavors. This was followed by a selection of after dinner cheeses and a chocolate crème brûlée. Talk about being sent to heaven. If you are looking for a smaller venue that specializes in great food and hospitality, this is where you want to be.More

One of the best meals and experiences I’ve had in Tokyo! The flavors, the attention to detail, and the perfect merriment of Japanese local ingredients with French cuisine was phenomenal. Cannot compliment chef Tanaka enough! The owner, Ayano, is super friendly, well-versed in her wines...and really makes you feel like you are a guest in her home. She took the time to tell me about each dish, where the ingredients came from, and answer all the questions I had. I was dining solo and ended up spending my whole evening here making new friends. I only wish I had discovered this gem sooner!More

A definite must go if you like a fusion of French Cuisine with a Japanese touch, great selection of wine and a cozy atmosphere. Ayano (the chef) is very friendly and her dishes are very creative. Tastes you'll probably want to experience several times (I've...been there twice already in a span of two weeks and going back soon ;). Last but not least, I gave this 5 stars, because the price and quality of food, rarely exist like this in Tokyo and Ayano's skills will not go unnoticed for sure! One word: Enjoy!:))More
