We went for lunch based on TA reviews and it was a great choice. It was a weekday lunch, just before Golden week started so the place was filled with locals lunching, which is a always a fun and reassuring sign when you are trying...to have a local experience. We found the quality of the food really great, especially for the price. And the aervice was quick. Not a lot of English spoken but me u has pictures. Really enjoyed itMore

We had a great Yakiniku (Korean BBQ) dinner tonight and we were lucky to get in before 5 PM. When we left an hour later, what a line! Food was great but CASH only 😬

This is a fun place for an evening out with friends! Large variety of meat choices and sides, all delicious. The atmosphere is great too. More of a Korean BBQ than Japanese. Can get crowded, so if you can make a reservation you should.

Harami, the outside skirt stake, were so good in both salty and BBQ sauce flavor. They are friendly and English speaking waiters and waitress available. They are also reasonable in price despite of the location. Like to come back again.

This occ health and safety hazard is a real hidden gem! Nothing like it in Melbourne! Follow the locals down to the basement where you cook your own meat over a small open flame on your table! Great for lunch at a good price of...¥850 for a set of meat, tofu, miso, rice... the list goes on. Quite a fun place, but worth noting for some that you cannot enter if you have a visible tattoo and people are allowed to smoke indoors (but, then again, people are also cooking their own food, so lots of smoke).More

We noticed the atmosphere immediately. A Thursday evening and the restaurant is full of happy customers and friendly staff, ready to recommend their own personal favourites. Azabujuban is a great neighbourhood, and the restaurant is located just off the main street. Excellent quality meat at...reasonable prices, look forward to our next visit. The restaurant has excellent air conditioning/air suction system. The guests next to us were smoking, but we could not smell a thing - very good:-)More

Friendly staff - smiling and laughing. Delicious food - cook some of it yourself on the BBQ at the table. I also had a tofu dish and a rice dish that didn't need the DIY cooking, both amazing dishes. There is an English menu available...too.More
