There is a statue of a sushi shop president (middle-aged man) in front of the shop. The clerk is also used to foreigners. Of course the sushi is delicious and the inside of the store is also clean. 店の前にすしざんまいの社長の像があり、面白いです。土曜日の朝の9時くらいに行きましたが、すぐに座れました。マグロ美味しかったです。

The last time I was in Japan Tsukiji was still vibrant and in full swing, this was not the case this time and I knew that but I was hoping to get the same quality sushi and service for breakfast that I came to love...More

Great place with awesome atmosphere. During the evening it was bit crowded and we have waited approx. 15 minutes to be seated. Sushi was fantastic, we have tried the platter with different types of tuna and after that we could not resist to place another...More

There are nine branches around this market and they're always crowded. Food wise they served fresh sushi which you'll come to expect at such restaurant. The dishes are not cheap too.

Marvellous seafood. Clam, octopus, tuna, tempura, sushi plus sardines fried eaten whole. Not much rice. Plus some veges.

The seafood is fresh and the prices are reasonable. It's always good to sit at the counter and watch the chefs at work. Prepare to wait in line at peak times.

Great food, lively izakaya atmopshere with lots of shouting for welcome, nice to watch the chefs preparing the food in front of you. I like to sit at the counter. Reservations not possible - often you need to wait to be seated. But it is...More

Sushi Zanmai is, of course, very well-known and popular among tourists. There're at least 3 branches in the Tsukiji area and I went to this main store (honten) for late night sushi when most sushi places were closed. Ordered a nigiri set. They offer the...More

Was at tsukiji market and dropped by for lunch. 2 floors and large space. They manage everything with factory-like efficiency. We were inside under 20 minutes. Unfortunately the food quality and service are also almost factory-like Michelin restaurants aside, sushi no-midori chain is better

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular

although most of the sushi there is fish, there is only an egg sushi, chives sushi. If the person is not really keen in sushi, i suggest that he will not be full and skip the restaurant.
