This curry restaurant is located about a 3-minute walk from Shimbashi Station. It's located in the basement, and the only way up or down is by stairs, and those stairs are rather steep, so it is not recommended for people with disabilities such as wheelchairs or those carrying large luggage. It's wide enough for people to pass each other, but considering that Shimbashi is a businessman's town and especially crowded during lunch time, it may feel quite cramped. The inside of the restaurant is not that wide as well, and although it may not bother you if the restaurant is empty, you may feel cramped passing each other and passing through the aisles when it's crowded.
Basically, lunch time is buffet style, while dinner time is order after seating (buffet style is sometimes available during dinner time). Buffet style is priced either without refills, or with only one refill or unlimited refills. You must choose and serve all of your own toppings as well as rice and roux. In the style of ordering after being seated, a menu with pre-determined toppings is available. There is a special section where you can add condiments, potatoes, coffee, and tea free of charge, but they are self-served.
Because the roux has been prepared over a very long period of time, it's somewhat viscous and mild, but not too heavy at all, and the spiciness is just right, so it can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of age or gender. The lunch buffet allows you to adjust the amount of food, but in the case of the order after seating style, I had the impression that the portions were a bit small. Those who want to eat with gusto may find it a little insufficient.
It should be noted that cash is not accepted for payment. The staff's customer service was neither good nor bad.

Curry with the aroma of lots of spices. The spices that fill your mouth and the rich flavor of the vegetables go perfectly with rice! You can eat as many pickled onions and fukujinzuke as you like, so you can refresh your mouth to your liking.
If you go for lunch, they offer an all-you-can-eat option at a reasonable price! It's perfect for people who want to eat a lot, and the variety is fun too.
Curry with carefully simmered vegetables is also perfect for a meal with friends. You can choose the amount, rice, and toppings, so I think the freedom to create a one-plate meal that suits your mood at the time is appealing!

Brilliant GF curry chain in Tokyo for anyone seeking delicious Japanese style curry, gluten free. There's a wider range of curries to choose from compared to your typical Japanese curry shop, including veggie options, and the curry is incredibly rich and filling. Several non-GF friends even said it was the best curry they had while in town. Highly recommended.

The most delicious Japanese-style curry I've found in my many months in Japan. I had the ratatouille vegetable and cheese curry, it was rich and a generous portion. Great artsy atmosphere in a basement with colourful painted walls and driftwood on the ceiling. Easy ordering system with a QR code you can easily translate the menu to English. Quick and friendly service. Already trying to think when I can come back here again.

Buffet style lunch, free soft drinks for females. Lots of vegetables, fresh and good taste. Cheap, friendly. Entered from the street down some sleezy looking stairs, but worth going.

Their lunch time only curry buffet is good value for money. Only 1,050 yen for free flow of high quality dishes. Their curry is a bit different from typical Japanese curry, but definitely worth a try. Very short walk from Shimbashi station, which is a short direct train ride from Haneda Airport.

Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
