We order loaves of bread just about every day. There are a few choices and we rotate our choice but the German 'volkhorn' is our favourite. Also met friends late morning and their meal of goats cheese and avocado looked good and they enjoyed it. Coffee was good as usual.

We stood waiting for one of the staff to let show us to a table, and in the end had to approach one of the staff who were not in the least bit interested in us and was very off hand. We did sit down for a couple of minutes but decided to move onto another restaurant where we had... More

We wandered into Baked Poetry on a warm afternoon needing a drink. Decided on their specialty Iced Coffee which does not include ice. It was absolutely magnificent. One of our group does not usually drink coffee but she loved it too. It was quite pricey but what the heck if you are buying one as a treat every now and... More

Have been here for breakfast and lunch over the last few days and have not been disappointed. Serves are a good size and prices good. Staff friendly, service prompt.

This place has been operating for years, and is consistently excellent. Only a limited menu, but all breads and cakes are baked on site and are just delicious. A German-style bakery, not French-style, generally very busy for breakfast, followed by the coffee and cake mid-morning rush, then lunch, which is always pumping. Terrific coffee and good leaf tea, but no... More

This place is just fantastic. The breakfasts are top and the bread is probably the best German Vollkorn in the country! I've never found anything else like it in a city. Got some German grocery faves on the shelves and that great Ritter Sport chocolate. Apparently – and i'll do this next time – the iced coffee with the home... More

This is a place I always like to visit when I am in Peregian Beach. Located on the village green there is plenty of space for the kids to run around while you enjoy coffee and a plate of yummy food. I love the eggs in a glass (hard boiled with breads. Fabulous fresh bread from dark rye to a... More

The food is pretty great. The coffees pretty good too but it's nearly always so crowded we find it hard to get a table and then the wait is long. Also it's not that friendly : no warm greeting, no 'be with you in a minute' ...I think some places like this at Peregian could use a shake up- tourists... More

We go to Baked Poetry regularly and it is always so fresh and delicious. Must have the Baked Poetry Iced Coffee...it comes as a long glass of ice with a huge scoop of homemade icecream on top and a jug of hot coffee (double shot) which you pour over the icecream to your taste. Just delicious. If you have room,... More
