We stayed at the hotel opposite of Dolphin Beach. Because the food there was not fantastic we thought to give Dolphin Beach a try. We never regretted this. What a great food and what a nice staff. Maduka served is 3 nights and he is...so friendly and nice, wonderful! We are here 3 nights and especially the tuna was superb!!!!!! They serve a nice class of wine too and the setting is just fantastic. You're not going to regret dining here!More

These were the best meals in our entire holidays in Sri Lanka and it was perfectly served by Maduka and his team. Especially Maduka´s grilled tuna was fantastic. Thank you so much for this great experience.

Maybe the chef had changed since the last reviews because the food is not great here. Edible and we were really hungry but totally mediocre and just not at all exciting. I had a pasta dish and my partner had a ‘Thai’ green curry followed...by some half melted ice cream. Underwhelming over all. Pleasant staff and clean restaurant.More

After our tour of Sri Lanka we wanted some beachtime to finish with, turned out to be an absolute highlight! The tented luxury accommodation is just a part of this great hotel - there is so much to commend this place. The grounds are meticulously...maintained, styled with an eye for detail, the Staff ( need to mention Maduka 😊👍🏻) will go out of their way to make your stay memorable and the chef will go out of his way to cook up all that is possible. If you don’t do hot but like local dishes then that is what you’ll get - great food any way you like it.More

A day tour after work on weekend. We have got excellent service and food from Maduka . Such a nice beach , I have been here twice .

We had a lovely dinner at the Dolphin Beach resort. It is very family friendly and children get to make their own pizza which is always fun. The food took a while to arrive, however, this is because they were not expecting us and the...restaurant was already operating at max capacity. The manager AJ - a very articulate and friendly man who knows the area and Sri Lanka very well - accommodated us despite capacity. All of us ordered tuna and it was beautifully seared and served with a delicious pineapple salsa. The calamari and spring rolls starters were also excellent. The resort is lovely and the ambience was really relaxing - we enjoyed our evening a lot. AJ showed us one of the family rooms at the resort and it’s a really fun concept. We will definitely come back to Sri Lanka and stay at Dolphin Beach!More

The restaurant at the Dolphin Beach resort is excellent. There is a very good range of food from snacks at lunch time to a full dinner menu. There is something for everyone, including vegetarians. It does get a bit busy so pre-ordering your meal helps.

We were staying at Bar Reef Resort, the sister resort of Dolphin Beach and went over there to eat multiple times. What especially stood out to me was the pizza night. Children even had the ability to create their own pizza! The quality of the...pizza’s was really good and there were a lot of options. Not to forget, the service was great every time and our waiter Maduka made us feel very welcome!More

We are staying in Bar Reef resort, part of the same group and went yesterday for dinner to the Dolphin Beach resort. The quality of the food was overall very good and after almost 3 weeks of curry, the possibility to eat a very good...black pasta was more then welcome. Our waiter, Maduka, was very attentive and although we were warned it would take a while, the service was excellent. If the pizza oven, in which they prepare real Italian pizza, is open tonight, we probably visit again. WilbertMore
