went there after reading reviews. Not disappointed, it was a very busy Sunday lunchtime, but the waiter was very efficient and funny. We only had nachos on the first visit and salads on the second, it was very reasonably priced and tasty. the meals being...served looked good. Lots of locals eating, which is always a good sign.More
It had been a while since I had eaten at the Royal Calpe and what a joy to have gone back after such a long time. I always remembered it for its great atmosphere, warm welcome and great great food.
We went for the Sunday...roast with the clan. It was brilliant. Choose from their carvery pork, beef, chicken, lamb or turkey, and get free buffet on all the trimmings. All for just under a tenner per head. Can't go wrong. Fantastic family meal for 7 of us with drinks and dessert for just over £120. Well worth a visit and bang in the centre of Gibraltar.More
We've been to Gib many times and always visit The Royal Calpe.
Always good service, good food and good drinks on offer.
On this occasion, I had the beef and ale pie. Beautiful with lots of beef and so tender. Everyone in our family of...6 loved their food too.
We'll be back!More
I had a lamb curry and my husband had soup of the day. Both dishes were freshly made and tasted really nice (and I don’t say this lightly for Indian dishes).
My daughter had spaghetti from kids menu and it was quite a generous portion...(probably more than enough for two children to share)
I tried house wine which was lovely too. With one beer for OH and OJ for the little one the bill was just about 25£ which I thought was great!
We just walked into this place while exploring the high street as we wanted to grab a quick lunch before our flight back to London and it was way beyond my expectations :)
Was pleasantly surprised..More
