The shingle inn at Helensvale Westfield shopping centre is closed up for now and by the look of it probably permanently Not a big surprise as its centre island type layout and thus very open did not seem to be the right fit for the usual shingle inn crowd

Terrible. Slow. Told there was a 20 min wait for food. Restaurant not even half full. Waited 25 mins for a pot of peppermint tea. Still didn't come even after going to the counter to ascertain why. Disorganised. Will not be back. Save yourself the headache.

Shocking. How can you possibly make such bad food? How can you muck up coffee so badly? Worse then instant coffee. I'm surprised anyone ever goes there

Sunday morning at the Pines complex...looking for a friendly, quiet brekky/coffee place. Tastefully appointed with quiet nooks; pleasant staff. Price upper-range... eg eggs ben and coffee ($22.50). Hmm. But I'll probably come again.

Poor display not much on offer, place just has a worn out tired feel. In the positive side the big sofa chairs are comfy & the location is great - right outside. Coffee was ok however service is not engaging just a convenient spot for us so we will go back

Stopped here for a coffee and snack. Disappointed that the snack (Lamington) was not fresh but at least a day or two old. Their display of eats is impressive - pity the same cannot be said about freshness. Coffee was OK - just the right temperature. Service was quick and polite.

Elegant, comfortable armchairs and private seating in midst of busy shopping centre. Range of yummy savoury or sweet treats to refresh you while out shopping. Coffee is in reasonable sized cups, teapot serves 2 cups, & they have lactose free milk. Service is good, order at counter & they bring it to table. Caters for couples and small groups not... More

I don't know how does this place still stay open !? Went to have my hot chocolate and toasted sandwich this morning 10/07/15 I was charged almost $12 (!) for it when it doesn't exceed $9 at other cafe's in shopping centre. Waitress brought me a cup of hot chocolate which wasn't even sweet and UNtoasted sandwich. I said to... More
