You can't say the food is bad, its nice comfort food you'll cook yourself at home like, the service is really nice, but 20euros for pasta and tomato sauce, 25 for a veg & lentils bake... I wouldn't mind paying that price if it was a actually tomatoes from the garden, but what about having cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes... in April!?... More

Fortunately, we got to eat dinner at Phoenix on a Sunday, as they were going to be closed for Monday and Tuesday (in early April). The ingredients were surprisingly fresh. We had bean tortillas with large, home cooked beans and veggies and pesto. For dessert we had an apple crumble. All was very very good and a welcome change from... More

This is a gem in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by beautiful gardens, with very tasty food made to order. It is almost entirely vegetarian but they do offer some seafood and fish.

We recently stayed here for a few days as a family to participate in the marathon. What a wonderful treat. Our party relieved a warm welcome from our hosts and enjoyed the very relaxed atmosphere of the B and B. Food wise, I could not ask for better, being a vegetarian restaurant there was great choice, wonderful freshly cooked food... More

We stayed at the ``phoenix for a night in August. It is the most amazing place. Beautifuly decorated with artifacts from Lornas travels. Unfortunately we had a very late lunch so didn't eat there in the evening but the breakfast was wonderful. Great for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. They don't use meat, but well cooked vegetarian food doesn't in... More

We arrived at 7.45 expecting a great evening but were very disappointed, it to one hour and twenty minutes for the main course to come out and when it did the vegetables we old and reheated. There was nothing remotely exceptional about my Scallops and at €32.00 for just the main course I was very disappointed. Over all it was... More

We happened upon this magical place at the end of our weeks trip to Ireland. Atmosphere was lovely, food was tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We found it difficult to find veggie/vegan food this trip so were delighted with our three courses which were freshly made and delicious.. I can cook veggie food very well myself so am not... More

Wonderful food and service, food was amazing we had a sharing platter mmmm, the garden is beautiful, even in the misty weather. The only complaint would be that the coffee was extremely weak! Like a good strong cupa coffee. Love the decor too, just beautiful, and spotless too! :) Would definitely go back.
