Beautiful setting, Fabulous food

The restaurant has a large outdoor seating overlooking the sea and under the shade of large trees. It is quite a beautiful setting! Their prawn cakes were fabulous. Our waiter though was a little laid back and sedate. He got the beer but forgot to open it for almost 5 minutes! Most of the waiters seemed distracted and pre-occupied by a system of entering orders on their phones.... That said, it's a beautiful setting, with gorgeous Thai food. A must visit restaurant in Phuket. PS - They have their own parking which is great as the pier parking was absolutely full

Lovely under tree eating

Certainly one of the beautiful place in Chalong Pier, huge restaurant, under the shadow of magnificent trees,over view the Chalong pier and very close to the sea. Lot of space between table, make it quite private, been there few time, but for our last visit we noticed a decline in food taste and quality, prices remain high , but service and food taste decline a lot compare to the few other visit we made there. Staff no more attentive to the guest request, the food lost is "something special" who made all the difference between two restaurant. Presentation still nice, I will advice you to go there for the nice seating next to the sea, but I have some reserve about food taste, as is no more represent a quality Thai food restaurant.

Great view, food and service and not too expensive. Could be a lovely romantic place at night too. The oysters were fresh and well prepared, the shrimps were fresh and equally plated and the staff cared about our seating and comfort. Just try it. Clean toilets too.

Crazy Children on Scooters !

Looks like this restaurant is very hit & miss I have been here before and I would’ve given it 5 ⭐️ but last night was terrible for Valentines night not even worth 1 ⭐️ Not only have they cancelled our booking because they had the time as 6 pm and I have personally been in to book the day before for 7.30 pm. The food order arrived completely wrong they delivered hot food with the oysters that were a cold starter. Which we had requested the Oysters first. We had also ordered 1/4 slices of lemon to squeeze onto the oysters which they didn’t bring we requested this 4x times and it eventually arrived. Parts of our order did not arrive at all. We ordered an 800 g lobster but on the bill it was 900 g they had also added deserts to our bill but we had not had any. I asked to speak to a manager this again took four requests and then only the assistant manager came to see me. All night there were about eight children on scooters riding around the restaurant hitting people both customers and staff who are carrying food. When I complained about this they said that they could do nothing about it it was up to the parents. It was quite obvious everybody in the restaurant was very annoyed with the children. They then said that they couldn’t give us any money off the bill but they would give me free deserts and a free drink this is a very expensive restaurant this is not a budget meal our bill was close to 9000 bhat - £214 for two people ! The food was amazing but the atmosphere when the restaurant is busy is terrible and is not a quiet relaxed atmosphere as it should be as they were promoting valentines night. I do not expect no children but I do expect children who behave and if they don’t the staff should ask the parents to control their children. Eventually after refusing to pay the bill and leave they tried to offer me 20% discount this I felt was not fair they had completely ruined my special night ! One and a half hours later and the discounts had increased to 30% called a VIP discount ! I felt as though this was fair but but very bad customer service to make a customer argue for 1 1/2 hours when there were multiple errors and a bad atmosphere from children. I honestly think they thought silly tourist he will pay the bill all we have to do is make him wait. There was no breakdown in communication as the person I was with Is Thai and completely fluent in English !

Avoid - Expensive and terrible service

Went with my husband, looking for a crab meal for each of us. Arrival at the restaurant was uneventful, but we waited a long time for the staff to take our order in a restaurant where the the staff outnumbered the customers. Then after placing our order, we waited 30 minutes for food to arrive - but only one meal. After a further 20 minutes I stood up, had to go to the bar to disturb the waiters talking among themselves and ignoring the customers, and told them to cancel my order of a crab curry. They tried telling me this was not possible, and said it would be ready soon - another ten minutes and it arrived. Cold.

Nice Meal In Scenic Setting

If you are looking for a scenic restaurant with good Thai and seafood you must visit this restaurant whilst in Phuket. As the restaurant is located next to the pier, it offers a magnificent view of the sea front. Best time to visit is in the evening just before sunset. The restaurant premises provides a relaxing ambiance. Seafood here is fresh . The menu is extensive and delicious. However service can be “ slow” during the peak periods. Food and beverage prices are not cheap but similar to same style restaurants. The restaurant offers both outdoor ( recommended ) and indoor aircon seating. As this is a very popular restaurant for tourists, reservations recommended during weekends and public holidays.

Smoke gets in your eyes, your lungs and your taste buds.

The food here continues to be fabulous although the pippies soup has been taken from the menu, the great shame is the excellent food is destroyed by cigarette smoke being blown all over you whilst eating. There are no smoking signs on all the tables which are ignored by some patrons and the staff. When I remonstrated with a patron today the staff asked if I would like to move inside - no I like to eat outside near the water enjoying the view and I would like to eat my highly priced food without the pollution of second hand smoke. The secret to this of course is the smokers were part of a group tour and we were only a couple - so money rules here not a concern for the comfort of other paying diners. So much of Thailand has come so far in relation to smoking and food perhaps this restaurant should either throw out the no smoking signs or enforce the no smoking rule so we can all enjoy the excellent food prepared by their talented chefs.

We had lunch here 16/2/2023. Beautiful beach front restaurant with a large menu choice. Food was fantastic and very reasonably priced, top quality seafood with lots of different meal options. Not just seafood. Staff very friendly and attentive. The owner also serves guests and ensured we were happy with our meals. Highly recommend.

Best Seafood in Phuket!

Had dinner here for a group of 12. The staff were lovely and very attentive - always ensuring we had fresh plates when they were laden with crab shells and prawn heads and always placed the food we hadn’t eaten on the fresh plates also. The tiger prawns were the juiciest and freshest I’ve ever had and cooked to perfection. The Thai yellow mudcrab curry was also amazing. Also recommend trying the Mantis Shrimp. They arranged transfers to and from our hotel for a reasonable price also. If visiting Phuket this place should be on your restaurant list to try!

Great Thai food with lovely views

Restaurant is located next to the pier and you get lovely sunset views by the sea if you dine in the evening. Food was delicious and well presented. Ample parking for guests onsite. Signature dishes such as batter water weed with shrimp and curry fish mousse in banana leaf are a must try. Prices are reasonable. You can get 1000 baht cash voucher on Klook at 20% discount.

Best seafood 🦞 restaurant in Phuket

Best seafood restaurant in Phuket! What a fantastic diner we had, from the beautiful cocktail 🍸🍹 to start , the different signature dish we tried :Andaman lobster 🦞,meat Crab 🦀 curry, a delicious seaweed, King tiger praws 🦐... Up to tasty dessert. Every dish was way more tastier than other restaurants we tried . You can't go to Phuket without trying this restaurant!

Superb in every way

It would be difficult or impossible to improve on this. The setting is magnificent. The layout is quintessentially tropical, with lots of nooks and crannies, lots of vegetation and a tremendous water view. The wait staff are very efficient and affable. (Phon deserves a special mention.) The food is up to Thai standards (very high). We were there during the day. The evening experience is probably even better. A string recommendation from us. One thing about policy: it seems the women are trusted with the customer service but the men look after the money. That's not a good look.

In the land of fresh seafood, KanEng@Pier stands out far above the crowd. Try the deep fried butterflied sea bass for the main, add a soup and vegetable for a feast. The coconut ice cream served in a fresh coconut is memorably good! The restaurant, almost 50 years old, has excellent service. The tables are set under mature trees by the sea. The pier leads your eyes to a busy boat anchorage. This is a “do not miss experience” when in Phuket.

the best Thai restaurant in Phuket. Very good and fresh food direct from the sea. The service is super. The owner has another great restuarant named "the tree monlkees" which is also a great one which is located in the forest. recommended, recommended, recommended.

Fantastic food in a beautiful setting

Gorgeous setting. Beautiful menu with food to match. We had just appetizers: shrimp, chicken roasted in banana leaves, fish balls, and various beautiful flavored teas. The rose petal tea was very refreshing and delicious. Wanted to come back for dinner but our chartered boat trip fed us very well.
