This restaurant offers views of Chalong bay where you cans alongside the beach and incoming tide. They have a varied seafood, mostly Thai menu. You can bring along your own wine for which you currently pay Bht150 corkage per bottle. Even though this is on...the East coast of Phuket it still offers beautiful sunset reflectionsMore
Visit here about once a month and the food is always great. Probably because of Covid there are usually not very many people. They have a large selection of various seafood including lobsters live in the tank which is really great but warning expensive !
Service abysmal. Drinks expensive. Food portions very small. With so few customers around at the moment, you would think they would make an effort to compete.
This restaurant is on the South East coast of Phuket in Chalong. It is next to a narrow beach where your child can play alongside local dogs and a friendly pig. The staff are attentive and prices are medium to high. We have been several...times and tried many dishes all of which have been delicious except the grilled lobster with garlic which was ordered at the suggestion of the chef. It was dry and tough so we left most of it. Their grilled pork with kaffir lime leaves is scrumptious. While you do not get a direct sunset being on the East, the sky and Chalong bay are beautiful at this time - bring your camera.More
We have been recommended this restaurant and drove 40 min to get there The first we saw was old dying fish in the pond, from where you show have your fresh fish. It seems that one person could speek a little english. Nowone else. Due...to the situation with the fish at the kitchen I would try spare ribs and my wife crispy spring rolls. I was shown how big The spare ribs would be and chose The middle. In my menu card it said 250. In my wifes saw it to 300. Then came some flat pieces to me. We would ask what it was. Nobody would talk to us about what it was. Finally we were told flat pieces were rolls. Strange. My wife Said the were ok. Instead of spare ribs I Got a stew. Again nobody would talk to us as this was not spare ribs. See The photo. One guy told us. It was right. I gave up to talk with him about The piece length of meat that I did order. It was not good. No meat lager than 0.3 m2 and all attached to bones or cartilage. 6 hours later I started vomiting and still do. 🤮🤯 They even forgot The morning glory Bill only in that with two items more on The bill. As it was in thai and nobody would or could explain. We paid and left. Never this againMore
One of the best places I visited in Phuket. The food was amazing and the price was reasonable. With a spectacular view of the yachts and boats docked, you would enjoy your food at this place. I highly recommend this place as it doesn't pinch...your pocket at all and has good some great view.More
My hubby and I had been planning to go since we heard about Kan Eang 2 from a fellow hotel guest on our first night in Phuket. We finally made it tonight for dinner after nearly a week of anticipation. Big mistake! Food was average...and highly overpriced for the small portions. Family of 5 (3 children who couldn’t eat much), total was 3850 baht. But the worse thing was the lack of customer service. We got there at 5.30pm. There wasn’t many ppl there. Waitresses lacked English and had trouble understanding orders and requests. My hubby asked for some steamed rice and had to ask 3 different people before it arrived 15 mins later. There were a few large dogs wandering up to our tables, who seemed to live there. Don’t get me wrong, we love animals, especially dogs. But we were sitting outside and being a restaurant, I would highly regard this as being unhygienic. And what if it bites or snap at the kids?! Our pets back home are vaccinated, not so sure about the dogs here. Anyway, would not come back and would not recommend.More
I’ve been comin. To Kan Eang 2 since I was a kid. It’s my absolute favourite restaurant in all of Phuket. When you want to go here make sure you specify you want to go to Kan Eang 2 and not Kan Eang at pier,...in my opinion this one is much more superior than the one at the pier. Service is very good too. This is what I would recommend you order : Moo chair nam pla thod(Roast pork) Ber thod(prawn n veg fritters) Kaeng poo(crab curry) Luk chin pla (fishballs) Pak boom pad kapi(morning glory ) Kai chiao poo(crab omelette) Pla muek thod prik Thai dam(black pepper squid) Hor mok(otak)More
My wife and I have just spent located two great weeks in Phuket. We have been coming to the Kan Eang 2 restaurant over a number of years and the location, food, and service are highly recommended. Frequented by locals primarily, this is a hidden...gem located on the waters edge. We have visited twice this trip and on both occasions the food was great. The seafood is beautifully cooked with Thai influences. The catfish mango salad is to die for.More
A wonderful place to eat! Excellent seafood, a great view and just a perfect atmosphere. Among the best Thai restaurants I have eaten at. Will definitely be back there!
Me and my husband loved the place very much. The ambiance, the seaside, the foods is delicious both seafoods and Thai foods, the music, the place was very romantic that good for the couple like us who wants to be relax especially at night. And...the staff very accommodating, especially the Manager "Jenny". Thank you so much Kaneang@pier Restaurant..!More
Finally made my way east from Kata to this much mentioned local Thai seafood joint. Don’t know if it’s truly local but they have a very big place right on the Chalong bay. Service was very friendly and the food was the best tasting Thai...restaurant over the span of two weeks in Patong for us. Would come back here again should my next visit to Phuket involves a stop in the east side of town.More
Came here on recommendation from driver that took up to Big Buddha and temples. The place is impressive nestled amongst tress and right on the shore if a small beach. The menu is clear and divided into types of ocean life, then Thai dishes, then...land animals. The service is prompt and friendly and really attentive to special dietary needs. We ordered Sashimi, fresh oysters and a prawn dish to start, followed by a simple Thai pad seewee dish. The oysters are so fresh, it's impossible to get fresher without heading out to sea. The Prawn dish was beautifully balanced with garlic and pepper with neither over powering the delicious prawn. The sashimi wasn't the best we've had, but given climate probably a poor choice. It may have been frozen, still yummy, but not a great Thai dish. The mains were very flavoursome served hot and with lots of condiments to add. Overall we are so pleased to have found this place. If you want fresh seafood I recommend this place wholeheartedly, yes it's a bit pricier than your street vendors or main tourist areas, but well worth it. Our total bill including 2 beers 1040bht.More
