Wonderful selection of craft beers

I had an enjoyable evening in this craft beer bar in Taipei. There are around a dozen Redpoint beers on tap and the ones I had - all pale ales - were excellent. Here are happy hour offers on before 8pm too, so it really wasn’t expensive. We shared some nachos too which were pretty decent. There’s a decent food menu - although it’s very much American, rather than local, fare. So that won’t be too everyone’s tastes. But I enjoyed the beers so much I bough two more bottles to take away. Really recommended.

The Taproom's a beacon of craft beer happiness. Casual, convivial and cozy with a wide selection of beers and brilliant food! Great, knowledgeable staff, and love stopping by when in Taipei. Great for meeting friends.

It’s in a bit of an unusual location with not much of interest around it. However it is worth the effort with a great range of beer and delicious food.

Cheating promotion, beware!

This is my first visit to the place. Worst experience ever. They were promoting for a beer battle with another brewery if you ordered both beers. I did. But when the bill came they did not offer the discount promoted because they said and I quote "sorry I should have told you that you need to order both beers at same time; there is nothing we can do". Will also be my last time to visit for sure and they made clear they don't care. Ridiculous way to trick/ treat customers ( and for what?) that I almost feel it's kinda funny. Go to Sunmai or Taihu instead. No need to experience this nonsense.

Good beer, pretty good food

Overall I like it here. Redpoint makes some good beer, although I'm not a fan of IPAs. I personally like the Firefly Pils. Go here during happy hour and you can get really good, really cheap beer. Food is ok, and the salads are kind of meh. But they do have good monthly specials and great mac and cheese.

Great locally brewed beer - a favourite

Redpoint offers a wide range of locally breweries beers - TAI IPA is probably the one to fo go for but we tried few more and they were all good (and strong) beers. Service is friendly and food options are great. Prices can been the expensive side (probably very expensive for locals) but if you are visiting it will offer a great experience. Food was also a great match for beer drinking with the cauliflower dish being a revelation. Staff super friendly.

Great beer, nice food

A good spot for delicious craft beer and pub food. The beers on tap are excellent- from the rich Rock Monkey Stout, to the excellent Hazy Platypus, a fruity New England style IPA , and the excellent Disco Macaw Pale Ale, their beers are top class. The food menu has a range of starters, salads, sandwiches/burgers and other pub food. The Reuben, one of the specialities of the house, was delicious, with pastrami and sauerkraut piled high on rye. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed.

Great staff, great beer, good food!

The staff were all so nice and friendly. The several different beers that we tried were all good. The food was good and fitting for a gastropub. The atmosphere fits right in for Taipei but would fit in most major cities. It has that cool vibe of a local place but is a gastropub that could fit in anywhere. The food and beer were great but the friendliness of the staff really made this place amazing. Definitely worth a stop while in Taipei.

Great Beer and Bites

Redpoint's Taproom is a great ad for the Redpoint Brewing Company. It has a full range of the wonderful Redpoint beers and the food is very good and satisfying. The beers are obviously very fresh and, in fact they sometimes have some trial beers which are very interesting and they welcome your feedback. The food is yummy, satisfying and very good value. Atmosphere is relaxed. Very close to Da'an MRT --- so no excuses not to visit

Nice Brews and Location

Nice microbrewery near the Daan stop on the Red MRT (subway) line. Good beer selection and lots of space. One of the brews was only 110. Good price. Would return again when in this part of Taipei.

Good choice for real beer and simple food

I was a bit surprised to find this really was a brew pub, though the brewery operation is not in the pub itself. However they do have a nice selection of their own beers, and some guest ones as well. I enjoyed both beer and food, thought it is not the cheapest place in town, by any means. There is a mix of people in there, Chinese and non-Chinese, and quite a lot of noise, which makes for a good atmosphere overall. Only minor point - they only serve beer in pints, which for women may not be the most comfortable thing unless they want to split one. Other than that, a good choice for a change from local food and beer.

Good selection of tasty brews

We saw the sign from the MRT, and randomly stopped to check it out. We had already eaten, so we just had beers and dessert. We had the lager, #1 pale ale, and the stout, all delicious and not too hoppy. We split "the blondie" for dessert which was tasty, and well presented. If you're in Taipei and need a taste of home, the menu, beer and atmosphere is all-American.

If you like beer, and you’re even somewhat cool, you must come to this bar. Fantastic brews, great people, good atmosphere and excellent eats. Will be coming here many more times to come.
