This district is the busiest transport hub in northern
Tainan. Sinyin encompasses several shopping districts
such as Mincyuan Road where you can both satisfy your
taste buds and quench your shopping desires. Across
from the Minjhih Civic Centre, not only is Nanying
Green Park the green lung of the city, but also the
important base for cultural and creative industry. Not

Nearby Yanshuei District used to be the fourth
largest city in early Taiwan history, so the alleys
and lanes are abundant with historical buildings. Each
year the Taiwanese-style “beehive” firecracker
extravaganza kicks off on the night of the fifteenth
day of the first lunar month. For visitors to
appreciate Taiwanese style at a higher level, the
Yanshuei Catholic Church even collects the “Last
Supper” in the form of mural with a Taiwanese touch,
vividly illustrating how Western culture is perfectly
integrated with local tradition.
Liouying is Taiwan’s
top milk producing district. It produces a high amount
of dairy produce and also pays respects to cows. Next
to the windmill in the beautiful Deyuanpi Holland
Village, a cowshed has been especially built
sheltering aging and retired cows.
