Beef noodle soup is delicious; a bit on the light side but fulfilling. Line up first to order then they will point you towards a table. I don't speak Chinese so I when the cashier said something, I somewhat also agreed to also order seaweed...soba and pickled cucumber on the side (which are good but not necessary for a good experience)More
OMG! That was unanimously the best bowl of noodles we’ve ever had! A legendary spot and super cheap! Broth was made from the single most delicious chunks of stewed roast beef ever! And all for just a few New Taiwan Dollars. A MUST VISIT when...in Kaohsiung!More
Long queues start at 6pm. Many Korean tourists and Taiwanese. Not sure it is my favourite beef noodle. Good as soup is clear, not oily and tastes free of msg. But not spectacular either. Wouldn’t queue for this
Hongshao beef noodles dry or soup.
Taxi drivers and every one I asked in Kaoshiung suggested that I try this place. It had to be one of the worst beef noodles I had in Taiwan. The soup was tasteless and the noodles were ever cooked. Do not follow the hype and...try other places in town.More
We went there 2 times, the beef is so tender. You will not want to try other beef stall if you have tried this one. Better to go before 11 am, as there will be very long bee line as the local people coming out...from office for their lunch break. Go straight to order and the staff will give you the table number. After the meal, google map and walk about less than 10min to "popo shaved snow ice" for nice dessert.More
We’ve tried beef noodles at several locations in Taiwan on this trip and loved Gang Yuan best. Picture menu made ordering easy and the staff knew just enough English to help us. We shared a table with another couple, hope they weren’t appalled by or...beginners chop stick skills. Water is free from a dispenser while beer and soft drinks are in a cooler. We ordered 2 beef noodle servings dry = $7.20 US.More
Went here before heading to Cijin Island for the day to load up on some beef noodle. Wasn’t disappointed. The line seemed daunting but it moved quickly and the when the dish arrived it was piping hot and the beef melted in your mouth.
They...do speak some English as well so ordering wasn’t a problem!More
