Disappointing ~for a Taiwanese tongue. Have tried other beef noodles way better than this. Guess it has toned down the flavor to suit foreign tourists.

Beef noodle soup is delicious; a bit on the light side but fulfilling. Line up first to order then they will point you towards a table. I don't speak Chinese so I when the cashier said something, I somewhat also agreed to also order seaweed...soba and pickled cucumber on the side (which are good but not necessary for a good experience)More

OMG! That was unanimously the best bowl of noodles we’ve ever had! A legendary spot and super cheap! Broth was made from the single most delicious chunks of stewed roast beef ever! And all for just a few New Taiwan Dollars. A MUST VISIT when...in Kaohsiung!More

Long queues start at 6pm. Many Korean tourists and Taiwanese. Not sure it is my favourite beef noodle. Good as soup is clear, not oily and tastes free of msg. But not spectacular either. Wouldn’t queue for this Hongshao beef noodles dry or soup.

Taxi drivers and every one I asked in Kaoshiung suggested that I try this place. It had to be one of the worst beef noodles I had in Taiwan. The soup was tasteless and the noodles were ever cooked. Do not follow the hype and...try other places in town.More

We went there 2 times, the beef is so tender. You will not want to try other beef stall if you have tried this one. Better to go before 11 am, as there will be very long bee line as the local people coming out...from office for their lunch break. Go straight to order and the staff will give you the table number. After the meal, google map and walk about less than 10min to "popo shaved snow ice" for nice dessert.More

Went here before heading to Cijin Island for the day to load up on some beef noodle. Wasn’t disappointed. The line seemed daunting but it moved quickly and the when the dish arrived it was piping hot and the beef melted in your mouth. They...do speak some English as well so ordering wasn’t a problem!More

I've been coming down to Kaohsiung for over 30 years, and every visit deserves a stop here. Simple menu with one delicious item, the Beef Noodles. Always superb quality and good price. Don't forget to add a little of the chili sauce and mashed garlic...sauce for a true flavor treat!More

This is an old school Yancheng District beef noodle haunt. The noodles are just right every single time and the beef is tender and flavorful. The dry noodle is the traditional one and the go-to for the locals. It is very heavily MSG'd, so make...sure this does not affect you.More

FYI- I visited here today (March 8th, 1:30pm) and it was closed/ under reconstruction. There was a sign outside but it was in Chinese, so I don’t know when they plan to reopen.

We tried this place as we were in the neighbourhood. Arrived close to 7 pm and the restaurant was full. Luckily, we found one vacant table. We ordered 3 bowls of the dry beef noodles. I liked the texture of the noodles and the beef...was tender. The beef was a bit salty but when paired with the noodles it was fine. I’m glad we tried.More

1st time try the beef noodle and very satisfied. Order both dry and soup version. Noodle is thick but chewable. The meat is tender and delicious. And the soup is perfect. Portion is big.

Both the soup beef noodle (牛肉汤面) and the dry beef noodle (牛肉拌面) are very impressive, costing TWD110 per bowl. As they taste quite different, you should give both a try if you can. The beef are extremely tender and easy even for kids to eat....Be prepared to wait awhile for food to be served during peak hours. Enjoy.More
