Our company of friends were very satisfied with this restaurant. We expected fine dining with small portions, but we got something a bit below fine dining in quality, the portions were enough for lunch and the prices were upper-mid range. Generally speaking traditional Hungarian dishes...are listed on the menu. The waiters were really kind.More
Non-pretentious place or decoration with a very good service and outstanding food.
Creative options for starters, main dishes and desserts "obliged" us to eat much more than usual to be able to taste as much as possible with my wife. All plates prepared carefully and...presented tastefully. It is worth traveling there. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of your visit.More
Kistücsök is one of the most famous restaurant around the lake, and I haven’t been there for several years, so I went to try again. There is nothing bad I can report about the place. I like the American way of receiving guests, meaning that...you have to wait at the entrance until your table is shown. I was somewhat surprised that I was told that there had been only one table left that I can take, while inside there were numerous empty tables, but OK, let us perceive it as a strange marketing.
I was happy to see the restaurant serving amuse-bouche, which is unusual in Hungary. I was, however, less happy with the substance of the amuse-bouche, it was a piece of salty cake with some indeed nice mousse. But at least, it was served, which I appreciate.
I had a Saxonian meat soup that was allright but below my expectations, but the carp (see pic) was really great and delicious. The carb made me offer the high scores.More
Whenever we could go there, it was a special event.
We planned the same now.
The service, the staff was GREAT, kind and professional.
But: we completely missed the ‘wow!’ feeling.
The food was average, didn’t waste much on decorating, special taste or outlook.
Portions...are big enough and prices are ok, but we didn’t find the special feeling, Tucsok was famous for.More
Being part of the top countryside restaurants in Hungary for several years, I was so happy to pass by this village and get a table on a Sunday without any prior reservation.
The restaurant is cozy and has this grandma's lounge feeling to it, also...has a more modern room with more airy and modern interior.
The staff are very well trained and the service was really good from the first moment.
The food options are limited, not too many vegan options, but the portions were really massive. We actually had to doggy-bag our meal.
Overall we had a lovely lunch, food was very good and fresh, service was great but I still don't get the hype around the place.... Prices were exaggerated in my opinion.More
Both fresh and filling, comes with a twist, always an extraordinary culinary experience in any season. The only restaurant in Hungary that meets my expectations when it comes to desserts (that is when the desserts meet the level of the first courses).
We visited the restaurant today. The parking area is quite big. We had a reservation for 5, but we went there 6. No problem, they changed. The meals were freshly made and it was pretty quick. All the meals tasted a bit strange. My meat...was tasty but it was very strange. Staff is nice, the restaurant is nice, the area outside is calm. Last time I ate here very good dishes, but this time I didn't had luck. If you wanna it fancy, expensive meals, visit it, but if you wanna something, typical hungarian good food it isn't a good choice.More
All of the food, that we have ordered was prepared very good. Very nice service and attention to the kids.
Since we were full, we didn't have chance to taste the desserts, but they looked very interesting and delicious - i still regret for them...:)More
