my family and i went to Bukit Cafe two days ago. we ate chicken burger, fish and chips, and chocolate lava cake. it used to be really popular and crowded, but yesterday it was really quiet and peaceful. the food was delicious. the atmosphere was...nice, and the service was also good.More
Bukit Cafe is a lovely and classy restaurant to enjoy a quiet dinner near Padang Padang beach. It was within 500 m from our resort. The food is not cheap here, but it is certainly a lovely venue to have a relaxed dinner.
Food was really good and the atmosphere was nice and chilled. Prices weren’t the cheapest though and had to pay an extra 8k to get milk with my English Tea - this should always be served with it and included in price!
Today a waitress shouted at me at this place. I was having an important phone call with an important client. A waiter came up and started saying something, I pointed at the phone several times, whispering '1 minute, hold on pls, I'm on the phone'....The waitress kept talking without stopping. I asked the person I was talking to hold, and turned to the waitress. Very calmly and politely I told her that I am on the phone, that this is important to me and she is really disturbing. She started shouting at me that I am sitting at a communal table, I don't even know what else she was shouting, I was just so surprised and thrown off. There was plenty of space for like 7 people at the table, I was not preventing anyone from sitting, I was very compact in the corner. I asked to see a manager, but she told me that Bukit Cafe does not have a manager.
Incidentally, wifi was so bad that I went to a lovely place nearby with polite staff and great wifi where I could post what happened and happily finish my work.More
