The Lappland Hotel serves a range of Meat or Veggie burgers washed down with a cold beer at their sports bar. Football & ice hockey on offer.

We arrived to this small restaurant and found the only free table was not cleaned up. When we asked the staff to clean the table up they asked us to put the dirty dishes aside ourselves, so they could come by "in a while" and...remove them. We also had to remind them especially to wipe the table which was very greasy from the previous guests. There is no table service. Ordering and up front payment is done with a mobile app, and it took us three tries with different phones and different credit cards before we asked the staff for help. They sighed among themselves and in a demeaning way explained that we had to follow the instructions in the app and then enter our credit card details. We asked them to try themselves, which they did and failed, so we finally got to pay at the register. They have a children's menu, but it's only available if you ask for it. The children's buffet and childrens drinks such as fruit juice is available in the main restaurant which is not a part of Hockeybaren. You pass through the hotel lobby with your plate to get the food. The food (we ordered hamburgers) was okay for pub food, but most sports bars in Sweden, such as O'Learys and Allstar have better food than Hockeybaren does. We are not sure what the standards are in the rest of Lycksele though. Throughout our dinner, swimming pool guests passed to stand next to our table in bathrobes to look down at the pool area of the hotel. Kids ran by our table and bumped into it and us several times. Apparently, the way from the hotel to the pool passes through Hockeybaren. In short, I would not recommend this restaurant unless you are looking for a quick beer and some fries, and don't mind the noisy environment.More
