Delightful restaurant. We had afternoon tea - sandwiches were on a mix of fresh white and granary bread. Too many cakes and scones to manage to eat but we were given cake boxes to bring home the delicious cakes and scones that we did not want to leave behind! Cakes were a lovely variety - carrot, chocolate, meringue, lemon, strawberry.... More

I took my mum to Cabbages and Kings for lunch. We did not book but there was a table which was more luck than judgement as it got really busy and all the tables were full by about 1 o clock. We both had a salad which was delicious followed by a cake and coffee. All very nice but quite... More

Amazing place. Great food. Very quaint shop on the way in. Waited a while for our food but I must say, it was worth the wait. After an amazing coconut toast, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast I even took away one of their brownies, which I enjoyed at home, it was amaze! Can't wait to return.

I was taken to Cabbages & Kings as a surprise and I have to say I thought it was lovely. The whole experience, you go through a little shop into the tea parlour and through to your table, you can sit inside or outside in the beautiful garden. I thought the afternoon tea was plenty, fresh sandwiches and gorgeous cakes,... More

This was my first time at this lovely little cafe/restaurant and I must say I was very impressed. We got there quite early at 12pm and got a cosy little spot in the corner of the main dining room. The food was delightful, and you can tweak the menu to suit without causing the staff to have a meltdown. The... More

This place is great, great home-made food, great ambience, great staff. The owner gives this place it's individuality, if you have 'issues' with her then you need to broaden your horizons and get out more - you can always go to one of the big high street chains!

Quite simply wonderful. Amazing cakes, beautiful setting and an incredible gift shop. I recommend the garden on a nice day and trying the coffee cake. I am not a sweet toothed person, but will always make an exception for an afternoon here...

Went today for tea and cake with a friend who had one year old and myself with hubby & our 3.5 month old. We sat in the beautiful garden. Really great cake and choice of cake was fab. What a find! Lovely atmosphere. Absolutely gorgeous venue. Had a long chat with Jane. She's lovely. Very friendly. Think she has had... More

We like to go here for breakfast, and I often go for afternoon tea with my girly friends. It just makes such a lovely birthday present or something really special for an occasion. Jane has flawless taste and so you are sure to be drawn into the collection of magical gifts as you follow through to the yummy cakes and... More
