Our group of friends wanted to try a new place. We received a recommendation for High Bridge House and Pappy’s along with a few others. We decided on the High Bridge House. The ride was about 10 minutes longer than the place we usually go to. The road was winding and we seen many deer.
We had a reservation for 6PM. When we arrived, we were notified our booth was not ready yet so they offered us a table in a room next to the bar. Two of our group ordered the Haddock from the special menu with a baked potato and the spinach. The Haddock was broiled but was served with no sauce on top. The spinach was delicious. Two of us opted for pasta dishes, shrimp scampi and chicken piccata. Both were plentiful and delicious. The last dish was Coconut Shrimp which also was plentiful and delicious. They serve either a salad or soup plus fresh warm bread served with a delicious garlic butter with the entrees.
We will definitely add this restaurant to our list for a future visit.

We visited The High Bridge House for the first time on Saturday. We had a reservation for 11 people. They were extremely busy but our table was ready for us, the staff was very friendly and the service and food was great. Kudos to our server...not sure of her name...possibly Logan, but she was a joy to deal with and certainly an asset to the restaurant. Looking forward to going again.

The last time I ate here, the restaurant had a different name and a different owner. I tried it because I was intrigued by the menu that appeared as a pop-up on my phone. I sat on the patio--a nice summer experience. I stared at an unbused table for 10 minutes and noticed the floor beneath my feet was littered with crumbs from the previous diner. This was not an auspicious start. There was a birthday party occurring in another room. I was prepared to provide some slack. The Moscow mule was tasty and the salad with house prepared dressing was a delight to tongue yet was poorly presented. I went for the short rib ravioli in a red wine sauce. It was served with gorganzola cheese pieces. The combination made sense in theory; my tongue did not find the ingredients harmonizing with each other. I'm glad I ventured out tonight. The totality of the experience does not justify making the half hour drive again anytime soon.

I went for dinner at the High Bridge on Wed 13 I was very disappointed. They had listed Halibut. And that wasn't what I got! It took 50 mins for our meal; finally my date asked why we were still waiting. The salad would have filled a tea cut & the fish was edible but I could have done better making it at home but it was a very thin piece; possible 4 oz. if that. Like a piece of paper thin. The bread wasn't warmed & the fries were cold! When we left I was still hungry! We were so disappointed. But the atmosphere was just beautiful!

My wife and I had drinks and ate at the bar. Good service and a friendly clientele. They have daily dinner specials but we opted for Cobb and Caesar salads, which were very good, as were the stuffed mushrooms.

We had great service from when we arrived at lunch to have a cheeseburger at the bar and a late night snack before going to our room. Restaurant and accommodations are really nice and close to sites in Scranton. The owners were lovely and made us feel right at home. Excellent getaway for all!

Nice Sunday drive to updated facility with nice bar area, dining room (booths only) and decor. First visit was to bar area. High tables in inviting area with attractive "outdoor" dining area. Will definitely return for more formal dining. Like to try menu. Very good initial impression.

Took my mom here today for the Easter buffet. Neither of us had ever been here before. It is in an idyllic country setting, seemingly in the middle of nowhere but in all actuality not far from 380. The buffet was extensive with several main dish selections, i.e. French toast, baked ham, turkey with stuffing, chicken milanese, stuffed sole, lobster mac&cheese, stuffed shells, meatballs, etc., along with soup, salad, rolls, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, and desserts. The staff was very friendly, courteous and accommodating. Every table was full, so obviously the restaurant has a good reputation amongst the locals. All in all we had a wonderful experience here today.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. I don’t know if I should keep this to myself or share this, you really have to make a point and get there. When you first pull up the outside is so unexpected, it really is beautiful with landscaping to match. Inside, just as surprising.inside. Now, I realize this doesn’t make for a restaurant good but you could see in the details that it is going to be a great place. Every day they have a different special posted online and Wednesday was burger night, which was what we were looking for. $6 for a 8 to 10oz burger with fries(lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions)too.i added additional topping (smoky sweet peppers, so delicious and bacon) they burger was cooked as I like and so fresh and delicious. My husband had a specialty burger with jalapeño, special sauce and cheese. They have a full bar menu, too. But if we didn’t go for just the burgers they menu looks like you could find something new eat eat every time you go there. We are going back very soon. The other guests around us were having lobster, steaks, fish dinners and I was an amazing Cobb salad come out. Try this I really don’t think you will be disappointed. It’s right on rte.502 in Spring Brook, PA.

I cannot begin to say how pleasantly surprised my entire group was with the high bridge house restaurant. We went on a business dinner and thought the atmosphere was lovely, the fishtanks beautiful and the quality of the food terrific. The service was excellent and the drinks were terrific as well. They served great wines by the glass and had an interesting assortment of beers. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. I ordered the lobster fra Diablo and it was full of lobster chunks, shrimp and clams and was really good. I’m quite sure the pasta was homemade. Another person had a giant lobster tail and it looked fabulous while others had the salmon and another person had a fantastic New York strip.
I highly recommend for anyone. It’s a real gem in the area.

We had the honor of being the first couple married at The High Bridge House after Michelle and Warren bought the restaurant. Michelle and Chef Jeff made everything wonderful and stress free. Our guests raved about the food. The accommodations for our overnight guests were clean and comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Outstanding food and wonderfully accommodating owners and staff. Beautiful place for a wedding or party

The food is above and beyond exceptional.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated you almost feel like you away in tuscany with 2 large fish tanks that can be seen if you are sitting in the bar area.
The martinis are fabulous!

Love sitting in the bar they have high top tables that are very comfortable and on the weekends they have live music its a great date night.
We highly recommend this restaurants to our friends and family.

The High Bridge House has amazing food! It’s great for special occasions or just to get some dinner. They have great specials— that don’t disappoint. Their staff is so welcoming and owners are amazing. The prices range for any budget. Their house salad dressing is probably a family favorite. They’ve also catered for a family party and it was so reasonable/delicious. I would recommend them in a heart beat! Our cousins just asked the other day, what is that delicious place by your parents in laws?! We’ve never been disappointed! They can cater to a gluten free diet as well, which is very helpful to all of us with celiac’s! Highly recommend for any day or a special occasion! Their restaurant is beautiful and has great food.

My wife and I stopped by the highbridge restaurant to get out of the house and have a light meal. We sat at the bar on a Wednesday right after they opened. I had a delicious Cobb salad while my wife had a great crock of French onion soup and scrumptious clams oregano. The kind of experience you expect when you go out to eat but often are disappointed

The new management is doing something right. This was our first time since the change in management and name change (previously Grassi's). We pulled into the parking lot and it was practically full, first sign of a good establishment. We made reservations and were seated immediately. My dinner choice was The Taste of High Bridge. It was eggplant, chicken and veal parmesan. The portion was plentiful, took more than half home with me. I would definitely recommend this.
