One of few places that I consider highly rated in all spectrums: location, foods, hospitality, and ambience.
I always visit Potato Head whenever I go to Bali, whether visiting with family, friends, and just myself.
I also appreciate their thoughtfulness on guest experience: I always bring mineral water whenever I go as to keep myself hydrated and avoid kidney stone problem to re-occur. Most of places will not allow me to bring my bottle in, and sell mineral water with sky-high pricing (and this always pissed me off. I am coming to enjoy the foods and drinks, and willing to pay for the experience. But why on earth they charged me very high for just water to keep myself healthy), but this not what Potato Head do.
They still asked me to throw away my mineral water, but they gave me a chip which I can use to exchange for mineral water for free! And when I ordered cafe latte, which I always do, do also provide plain water to keep the customers hydrated.
This I consider a fair gesture and I do appreciate this!
I recommend Potato Head for you who want to enjoy your time in Bali!

We reached potato head at around noon and there were still day beds available around the second pool area which was extremely quiet and relaxing. We were greeted well by the staff and given cold towels and fresh fruit complimentary very few hours. We could go to any of the pools and bars to order drinks when we wanted a more lively atmosphere. We ordered 5 cocktails, the calamari, broccoli and falafel and reached the 1 million minimum spend. It was very enjoyable with great service (better than the W) we would definitely go back maybe with a bigger group.

The place is beautiful and very vibrant. Food is nice but slightly overpriced and the choice is not so wide. In the ljen restaurant there were only couple of starters the same applies to the mains. The side dish needs to be ordered separetly. On top of that there was a service charge and other taxes which were not included in the price advertised. So the final bill can be more then avarage food cheque in Bali. The place is perfect for drinks, parties and night outs. Advice - do not come here if you are hungry, eat before somewhere else))))

Tax and Service is a common in Bali and is always stated on the bottom of the menu in order for people to be aware.
Our restaurants especially Ijen is great for sharing lunch dinner with friends and family. It might seem not enough if you ordered limited dishes, the size is designed to share for you to taste more and have a better experience.
See you hopefully for the next party.

Potato Head is a must visit when in Bali. My boyfriend and I visited here twice during our holiday, both times we were able to book a day bed right by the pool (we got there early, just before 11am) and stayed there the whole day until sunset. The day beds require a minimum spend of 1,000,000 Indonesian Rupiah, which is well worth it if you’re planning on staying there the whole day. The food was good; pizzas, burgers etc, but it was the amazing cocktails that stood out to us - our favourites were the Bali Island Ice Tea and the Barong Zombie (they pack a punch!) Staff were great, although during the busy periods it can be hard to grab their attention. Our favourite part was by far the view - uninterrupted views of the beach and sunset! Highly recommend if you’re looking to eat, swim, drink and relax all day.

Lots of seating and day beds! With that said, people go early; 9/10am to secure the best spot for the day. We went pretty late, around 4pm and all day beds were full so we ate at one of the restaurants to kill time. Seems like they give restaurant attendees preferential treatment. Was told there was a waiting list for beds which was also closed because there were too many people waiting. Low and behold, when we tried our luck and asked again after dinner, they seated us at one right next to the pool and beach; optimal spot!! You can tell people we’re still waiting, so if there is a long wait list for beds or closed list - suggest eating first (bill can also be applied to the cost of daybed). Great place to party, hang, meet people, eat or have drinks. Highly recommended must see when visiting Bali!

We eat in the Indonesian resturant the food is lovely, we had two starts, two mains, a bottle of wine and one cocktail and the bill was £105.00 sterling.
It's a nice place to chill out little bit mainstream for me and the music was very mellow. However, that is just opinion as I am aware people love it.
It was quiet the night we were there so it might have been that.

We were with 9 friends 6 of us ordered The fried rice It was only fried rice and not even an egg or rice crackers
The flavour was horrible to much corriander. 😝
The price was so expensive almost the same like in england
the fried rice in a local warung or food stall is much better than this !
We paid one plate 140000 rupiah. So far over priced
And realy not good .
Also the place was realy packed with people
I dont think one of us want to come back again
We were realy disappointed.
We read all the good revieuws so we thought we go to potatoe head

I’ve visited Potato head many times over the last 8 yrs. while it’s still an iconic destination in Seminyak, I did notice it had lost some of its shine. The grassed area is now packed with seating and the lounging area beside the pool is now also packed with day beds. This crowding has really changed the beautiful vibe of the space. When it was less crowded with seating it felt like a stunning magical architecturally inspired space. All of that unique vibe is gone.
On the positive side the woven cane entrance is very cool, the food was tasty and fresh is still and the staff are all fabulous. It was low season when we were there ( Feb2020) So there was really no need for so much seating as almost all of it was empty.

Whilst honeymooning in Bali we wanted to go to a beach club. None of us had ever been to bali before so I joined a social media page which gave recommendations and reviews. With regards to Potato head a lot of comments mentioned the price & how it was expensive. It came recommended so we went along regardless and was glad that we did. Having been to other beach clubs in different countries Potato head was not expensive at all. We equired about a day bed thinking it wouldn't have been feasible with just being 2 of us however it was only 1,000,000 Indonesian Rupiah minimum spend which was only like £57 we where planning on having drinks and food there so didn't see this as expensive. We had lovely food and drinks. Loved our experience the beach club is lovely and staff where so nice. Would highly recommend.

We went to Potato head in Feb for our first anniversary . A guy called Bayu served us ... his service was exceptional !! He recommended the best cocktails ( kookaburra was our favourite ) and was so attentive and friendly . He even got us a little cake and candle when we told him it was our anniversary . The food and vibe here is just amazing - tropical setting , a pool with a swim up bar and you can lounge on beach beds all day and night

Great atmosphere, great cocktails, chilled music.
The service is very attentive and they are always there to suggest and assist.
As I was alone, I felt well looked after and they remembered me as well which shows they are good at what they are doing.
Try Pina Colada, served in real coconut - it tastes great, as well as their Espresso Martini that comes with cookie :)

Relaxing vibe. Ordered the nachos and the jackfruit dip tastes like beef, interesting. Expensive though. Nonetheless, great service. We were served by Bom Bom who is very proactive and friendly. Five stars for him :)

Dear Trip Advisor
During my last visit to Bali Indonesia in January 2020 we decided to spend a day at Potatohead beach club in Seminyak.
What a terrible disappointment.
You arrive there and you are followed by endless members of the staff who give you the guidelines in order to spend your money.
We got a daybed. It was a rainy day so we adked for an umbrella. No if we wanted an umbrella we had to move to another section closer to the veach and pay much more.
If we wanted to swim in their swimming pool we had to give our passports yes our passports and a credit card and we had to wear a wooden bracelet in our hands in order to get to the swimming pool or order something to drink or eat.
We decided to stay. When we asked for an ashtray we were informed that smoking is not allowed in that huge open air space and in case we wanted to smoke we had to go at the very end where they keep a space for smokers.
Of course we asked back our passports and credit cards and left .
For sure not a place to visit.
Someone should remind to the obnoxious administration of this joint that they operate a beach bar and not a military camp.
Avoid by all means. There are so many other delightful places in Bali. No need to spend your money at this unpleasant obnoxious gigantic joint

We got day beds and lawn beds (both have spending minimums) and watched the stunning sunset at Potato Head. Staff is attentive, cocktails are amazing (the Bali Island tea pot was a favorite) and food was also great. There’s also two restaurants onsite. If you bring your receipt from either restaurant to the day bed reservation desk, they can apply your restaurant total toward the minimum spend for day bed or lawn bed!

We came here as it was recommended, we were told we had to pay a higher amount to sit closer to the sunset view. It was abit disappointing and we felt like they all just wanted your money. Literally walk a few minutes down the beach to kuta beach and you can sit there with no extra costs and endure the exact same views with no pressure to pay. Also music great at kuta beach.
