We ate here yesterday evening and couldn't fault it in anyway. We shared the salmon starter which was delicious, Steve had their famous rabbit and said it was excellent, the chef even debones it. I had a very tasty faux filllet d'aubrac which was also delicious. We didn t have room for dessert. What made the evening perfect was the service, our waiter was attentive but not to much, very professional and you could tell he loved his job. The other waiter seemed from a distance to be equally nice. Next time in Carcassonne we'll be eating there again certainly.

Last night of our week long holiday in Carcassonne and we found this gem of a restaurant. Had our best meal of the trip. The veal steak was cooked perfectly and served with delicious vegetables. The Cassoulet de Bistrot was moist and full of meat. The wine we chose was 16 euros, tasty and perfectly acceptable with food. Our desserts of creme brulee and tiramisu were perfect. Thanks to Peter who looked after us so attentively. Thank you so much 👌

Had a very tasty meal of rabbit and fish, wine list was excellent value for money but wine could have been chilled more. Staff dealt with a down pour of rain very efficiently. The waiting staff were excellent.

After reading some positive reviews we decided to go there for dinner .At the beginning we found a lot of kindness because they added a table from inside with two chairs taken on the fly and created the table because there was no place positioning us outside. But then we had to wait 45 minutes and more just to take the lead then another half hour and more for two sandwiches of the chef (burger) and I must say that the disappointment was huge because the meat was dry, dry and tasteless, we did not like the sauces and then the bill was really salty 47 euros for two sandwiches with a side of chips and two beers. Some people left after they got tired of waiting for his ordination... We probably went on a bad day but I can't give a good review.

This bistro has a small but wonderful menu. Duck, steak, veal or rabbit served with a small salad and fries. Cassoulet too. Each under $20. At lunch there is a €14.50 special. Today it was a curry chicken dish. Starter of foie Gras or terrine of the day came with a small side salad. Desserts looked amazing I enjoyed a wonderful glass of champagne €10, a rabbit terrine 2 large pieces and a delicious side of greens. I order fries to be sure I had enough to eat….they were wonderful. Next time I would do the foie Gras and a dessert. Today they were out of foil Gras but the recommendation for the rabbit terrine was spot on. Service was spot on. Very little English was spoken by the staff but with a smile, some good will and a gesture or two I had one of my favorite meals so far inFrance.

Having been recommended this place by a Chef friend in London I was very lucky to get a table for one for Sunday lunch with only an hour's notice. Simply perfect, I had the Coquilles St Jacques special if the day and it was absolutely delicious. The service was exemplary and the ambience unbeatable

We decided to eat here on our first evening in Carcassonne having read many great reviews, although the ambiance was good and the staff friendly, the food was such a letdown, I had the rabbit which was tough and tasteless, didn’t even bother finishing it. My 2 companions weren’t impressed by their choices either. Happily we had some delicious meals in other restaurants during our week long stay in magnificent Carcassonne

We made a reservation and when we entered they said they had no such reservation. Very rude at reception but they seated us. The food was tasteless. I ordered the muscles and they had absolutely no seasoning, the broth tasted like sea water, several muscles were unopened. Served with old, cold tasteless French fries. My husband ordered the beef tartare and his meal was flavorless. The waiter we had was very pleasant and friendly. Would not recommend. Worst meal we have had in France since we arrived 3 weeks ago. I can not comprehend all of the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor.

I took my mother for her 86th birthday, unfortunately we were placed on an isolated table placed very close and under the bar which we had to shift and in the middle of a draft, each entry and each exit (cigarettes) was a ordeal for mother because she was very cold, I myself who got into the passage suffered from the cold. The waiter didn't give us time to look at the menu, rushing us with his insistent presence. The dishes were served on cold plates and 2 minutes later everything was cold. The purée, supposedly homemade, looked like very liquid mousseline and mousseline without taste. The Irish coffee served with a very poor quality cardboard straw has completely disintegrated

I booked by email and received confirmation of the booking. On arrival shown we had no booking- luckily I found the email. Shown to a table - not the best start. We both ordered medium rare entrecôte. The steak was tough, cutting it around the sinew was impossible.Mine was slightly more cooked than my husbands which was completely rare in parts. The man on the table next to us also had steak - all 3 arrived together. He sent his back for further cooking. We wish we had done the same. When the waiter collected our plates which still had lumps of raw meat, sinew and fat on them we said we didn’t enjoy the meal - his answer was we could have sent it back. Not good when a simple dish like grilled steak is cooked so poorly for 3 diners. Wouldn’t go back

We dined in this place as a family, eating the typical dish, namely "la cassolette", a bean soup also with a sausage, duck leg and another piece of meat, probably pork, all dried in the oven for the typical crust which however didn't seem super tasty to me. quite a steep bill! a 0.75 cl bottle of water €6, Spanish among other things, well for us Italians it's too much, even if you could also ask for water in a carafe. even a guariguette rosé wine at €22 is too expensive.

Great little spot just off the main square. Very friendly staff. The starter of fresh asparagus topped with a poached egg and a light lemon dressing was superb, large enough for 2 people and we are big eaters. Confit Rabbit a first for me and it did not disappoint. Soft mild flavour and melted in your mouth , served with fresh veg and amazing sauce. Service was very good and I recommend.

Stopped in for lunch on a friends recommendation and tried the Plat du Jour which was Boeuf bourguignon. Excellent! Melt-in-your-mouth tender morsals of beef in a hearty red wine sauce. Mes compliments au chef de cuisine. Wait staff was outstanding as well. I look forward to trying their menu another time.

Menu was very limited. I ordered brisket and husband had cassoulet. The food was tasty but found the brisket meal lacking - a bit dry as only served with a tiny amount of jus, and some vegetables. Our main disappointment was the service. We had a booking for the light show in Le Cite so opted to not have a starter. Had to wait a very long time for our mains, then we were left for 30 minutes with our empty plates in front of us. We wanted desserts, but were unable due to the length of time waiting. In the end we had to get up to ask to pay. We weren't asked how our food was or if we wanted more drinks at any time. For the price, it should be better. We had a far more superior experience at La Table de la Bastide.

In a street away from the otherwise averagely rated restaurant square, you will find Alice's bistro. Old-fashioned brasserie decor, musical atmosphere from the Roaring Twenties. The professional staff welcomes you with a smile. Cassoulet with comforting flavors, the saithe with vegetable risotto a treat. Let yourself be tempted by the virgin mojito...
