A friendly greeting as we walked in, a lovely little old fashioned English tea room with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were cheerful, the service very good and the food excellent. We liked it very much and will go out of our way to call in again. A tour of the black and white village of Pembridge is a lovely... More

Met a friend for lunch, brilliant atmosphere, gorgeous food, with attentive, very friendly service We both had sandwiches served with delicious fresh salads and vegetable chips The cakes looked absolutely delicious, and naughty, but managed to resist, but will be returning very soon to sample (terrible task, but all in the name of research!!) Well worth a visit

The cakes were wonderful, the service friendly and slick, nothing seemed to put the staff out despite the unannounced arrival of 25 sweaty and thirsty walkers.

Have visited this cafe a few times situated in what was the old vicarage in Pembridge. The coffee /tea and cakes are exceptional, the cakes freshly baked on the premises. My young dog was not only made welcome with water and dog biscuits but was also showered with cuddles! I could not have had a better end to my holiday... More

Have just had a cream tea in this Tea Shop. It was incredibly generous and scrummy. I can't believe how wonderfully friendly the people in the shop are. They go out of their way to help and a customer even went to get me some rosemary from her garden (a car ride away) when I needed some for a recipe.... More

As I'm cutting down on carbs I asked if I might make one or two adjustments to the menu to suit my requirements. Nothing was too much trouble and when the food arrived it looked amazing and tasted absolutely delicious. We visit the Steppes very often and we have never ever been disappointed in either the service, the surroundings and... More

Lovely food, super friendly staff, always helpful - best tea room in area. I am a pretty regular visitor and have sampled many tea rooms. Ye Olde Steppes sets a very high standard - never disappointed.

We visited this lovely little cafe today for lunch. The service is very friendly and welcoming. The food is fresh and of a high standard and with generous portions it is very good value for money. We were also pleased to be able to take our little doggy in with us too who loved it as much as us! We... More
