We had opted for the package with one night and a dinner, wine included. The location is nice, but the total price for this package was €400 - over priced. The food, it has to be said is top quality - both in terms of dishes as well as presentation. I tend to agree with the person who wrote it... More

Let us start with the restaurant. We had a ten course dinner, sitting on the terrace and enjoying the view overlooking the canyon. Delicious dishes with flavours superbly matched. The menu included a special cuvee of Rose Champagne 2004 Laurent Perrier, Alexandra 2004. We never had a Champagne that went very well with every dish till the very end. For... More

My dad invited us for my mum's birthday and we were not disappointed. As we arrived for lunch we were treated very well and led to the ground floor terrace for a champagne apperetif. We were then taken to the inside first floor restaurant. The decor was beautiful and the staff very professional. Being inside was the right choice for... More

I took my husband here for his birthday and was so disappointed. Yes, the terrace is lovely, surroundings beautiful and the staff attentive. Our lunch commenced with an aperitif. I ordered a gin & tonic that arrived already mixed in the glass !!!!! and was flat. When paying around 15 euros each I expect a small bottle/tin opened at the... More

The view from the terras is great. We experienced an evening with a lot of positive surprices. Great food and wines and friendly staff. If you order in the menu something differend than your partner, you both will get the plate of the other too. Just to tast. Great idea but a bit confusing in the beginning. It is expensive... More

Too much to handle. We ordered from the 89 euro menu which was not the taster menu and should have been 3 courses plus amuse bouche. We were presented with 9 courses which although each looked beautiful was too much. I left feeliNg overtaxed and didn't have sophisticated enough to French to refuse politely plus it seems wrong to waste... More

We were invited to this restraurant by one of our close friends, having dined many times before. These address is set in a most delightful setting with manicured gardens and open terraces. The restraurant is found on the first floor overlooking the park and valley, withe some spectactular views. One small problem, there is no lift serving the upper floors... More

Well if u can afford it then it's well worth a visit to experience the vast array of flavours and food as prepared at this venue! The tasters just kept coming! Service good if not a little pretentious Massive choice of wines which are from local vineyards and further a field - but come at premium prices A memorable visit... More

Amazing restaurant where you can enjoy a fabulous menu for EUR 90 which is an absolute must for those who love food. The price value is the best I have seen up to now anywhere I have been in the world. The choice of the various dishes is very large but I think that the EUR 90 menu is the... More

Description
Philippe Da Silva, a generous and enthusiastic Chef, has turned the Hostellerie des Gorges de Pennafort into one of the most sought-after restaurants in the Var. This lover of fine foods prepares a neoclassical cuisine that is always elaborate and delightful. Among others, his creations include foie gras and parmesan raviolis, a lobster salad with tomato confit and fried scampi with chanterelles and arugula cream... An invitation to a delicious, tasteful moment.
