We took our son and his family here for dinner on a Monday evening. The place was packed with a waitlist but we’ll organized. We received a text message in less than 15 minutes that our table was ready. We had a variety of entrées...and they were all good. I especially enjoyed the she crab soup, but our son liked the seafood stir fry, our daughter-in-law gave a thumbs up to her shrimp Alfredo, and their daughters gave a thumbs up to various fried seafood dinners. I saw a waiter walk by with someone’s shrimp and grits and immediately was sorry I didn’t order that, but our crab cakes were delish and we’ll be back!More

We ate here for our last night in Edisto. We got the nicest waitress we've had for a long time. She was attentive and very funny. We had fried seafood mostly as a group, and everyone left full. Food was good, atmosphere was relaxing. We...will definitely come back on our next trip!More

We arrived at 7, few cars in the parking lot (always makes me wonder). We got a table right away as the dining room was essentially empty. The decor is sweet like a cinder block place you would find in very rural SC. The lighting...was horrible with the fans spinning creating the headache inducing motion picture effect. We sat in a booth and those folks before us for at least a couple of years stowed food morsels at the end of the cushion and up on the frame of the bench for others to observe and enjoy. The small little bugs were enjoying it. There was enough to go around. I would assume they just wipe down the seats and what flies out from the rag remains there as a treat for the next guest - I almost said nope..leaving now, but remained. The waitstaff was terrific and kept our drinks full. Now I have avoided this place for many years as a poor experience long ago kept me from trying it again, but with Mckonkeys failing to impress this year we chose this. I had the crab cake stuffed flounder with lemon sauce - had it been described as it was served I would not have ordered it.... 1st off I will eat my hat if that was flounder...it was tilapia wasnt it? hmm? yeah it was. To find out I had to sweep off the full cup of lemon sauce that covered the entire mass of mush underneath. The brown oatmeal like consistency of the crab cake was underwhelming, but the flakiness of the tilapia was as expected unlike the firmness found in fresh flounder of which did not reside on my plate. The abundance of the lemon sauce explosion on my plate was my first clue. Collard greens could have used another 2-3 hours of cook time...they were still crunchy and any southern boy knows greens are done when they are done and no sooner. The grits were more like corn pudding, but they did say they were on the creamy side....like add sugar and you have dessert right there with your entree. I have been rough with this place and unapologetically so - once again a disappointment and I will likely never darken their doors again. Oh and there is a gift shop inside the restaurant at the entrance....Its like Disney in there. smhMore

Food was excellent. We have the corn fritters and calamari for appetizers. Then I had Shrimp and grits, hubby had the crab cakes along the our daughter and son in law had the smothered chicken. Everything was amazing and the service was just as equal....Make sure you give this place a try but go at 5 and there was no wait!More

Wow! I just had a fantastic piece of flounder for lunch! My Bride’s oysters were extremely good also. The Waterfront has the best flounder and oysters on Edisto Island!!! We will be back!!!

The wait at 5:30 on a Friday was about 40 minutes. The pound of crab legs at $60 by most standards was good but very overpriced. The prime rib was good, but misquoted when asked for a price. Adjusted but not fully. My filet was...a bit undercooked and chewy. Scallops that came with it, were extremely small on this surf and turf. A credit card fee was added to the bill before we even paid or knew about it. Cocktails were good, but a $200 meal for 4 left a bit to be desired.More

Had a delightful experience from beginning to end. Alex our server was very attentive. The She-Crab Soup, Crab Cake, Salmon and Rib Eye were distinctively delicious. The desserts were divine.

This place was really busy but our waitress was very nice. We started with hot hush puppies and salad with really good blue cheese dressing. My husband and I shared the Flower Feast seafood of 1 fish(large piece) 4 shrimp, 4 oysters, large taste crab...cake bak d potato. Everything hot and very tasty. We come once per year and never disappointed!More

We heard this was a great place to eat, so we stopped in about 5:45 P. M we had about a 15 minute wait and sat at the bar and had a glass of wine. We then got sat in a booth and had a...great waitress. She recommended the black sesame salmon and the crab cake. We ended up ordering 1 cream cake and solitude the salmon. Both were delis. We had French fries, which she recommended also and loved them. We were to full for dessert. I had hoped to get a piece of key lime pie to take home, but they were out. Highly recommend very clean and everyone was so nice.More

… that was good. First of all, thanks to Jeb for the excellent service. I was really impressed how you remembered details from prior short conversations at our table and how often you checked in on us. Second, the food was amazing. I had local...shrimp & grits which was just awesome. My family had the teriyaki salmon and the flounder - best on the island (by comparison of three local restaurants), juicy fish just lightly breaded and not too greasy at all with very good fries. Oh, and try the firecracker coconut shrimps as a starter, you’ll love it!! The ambience of the restaurant is quite simple but that doesn’t matter. We had excellent live music that day. Like everywhere on the island you can come as you are, don’t have to dress up too fancy. Prices are moderate. I didn’t like the explicit credit card fee though - that’s so 1990. Fantastic evening overall - thank you.More

We love this place and came back after 2 years, and it's better than ever. I always get low country stir fry because you can't get this anywhere else. Lots of good shrimp. Great flavor. We love green fried tomatoes there, shrimp and grits, oysters....All very good. Service is great and friendly. They were busy on a Tuesday. Enough food for two meals.More
