Dined twice during my Queenstown break and both visits exemplary on every measure. It’s a perfect package of attentive staff, authentic location/style/ambience, competent creative kitchen. Recommend the mushrooms on sourdough.

What a wonderful meal to start our day!! Three menu items & all unique flavors and so very good. Our only disappointment was that we found this the last day of our stay.

What a gem I found in Queenstown. This small place is somewhat fantastic and just great. They have it all, great indoor & outdoor seating, a lake view, a wide range of menus, friendly professional service, tasty food and generous portion size, and fabulous coffee....My niece and I loved it so much, we visited the very next day, and I had exactly the same menu again, Chorizo Scramble.More

Nice servers, delicious food, beautiful plating, lovely atmosphere. Great seasoning on all the dishes. Will definitely be coming back. 🤝

The cafe is really quite good, but the parking situation is a disaster - monitored by CCTV, almost always empty and will cost you $40 with a fine from QLDC.

We re visited The Boat Shed in February while visiting Family in Queenstown, the last time we went to The Boat Shed was prior to the Lockdowns, the service was always good and the staff friendly. This year was different, the food was good and...again good location, the problem was a couple of staff members had what can only be described as attitude, especially one member, it was obvious she really didn't want to be there, everything seemed to be too much trouble, personality and communication was Zero, this time food wasn't cheap so you would expect the service with a smile, maybe re visit when next in Queenstown in 2024, hopefully new staff.More

This place was recommended by the staff at Nanny Goat winery - great recommendation. Arrived Friday morning about 10am and it was packed. Managed to get a spot on a share table in a side room. Menu has good choices but not huge. Given how...bysy it was and shortage of staff across NZ, we were served promptly. Food was delicious, coffee good. Well worth it.More

Excellent breakfast menu and very tasty food. Unfortunately inadequate signage for parking around the cafe meant I received a fine from the council. Would be a 5/5 if it weren’t for the parking situation.

We found out about the Boat Shed during a random internet restaurant search and we couldn't be happier about it! The food there was the best we had during our entire 2-week trip to New Zealand and we can't say enough good things about it....The Boat Shed is hidden away out of the main tourist areas, so unless you know it exists, you aren't likely to stumble across it. Absolutely worth a special visit - friendly and accommodating employees and the food was nothing short of spectacular. We can't wait to go back!More

Lovely location right by the water, then we wandered down to bus stop to catch the Hop on Hop off for the day. Lovely food and great atmosphere. Thanks for my long black, on point!

A great little please for brunch and coffee. Friendly front of house staff. Great Frankton arm views with outdoor seating

We visited on Friday 3rd Feb for breakfast. There were 6 of u and we did not have a reservation. Although The Boat Shed was very busy, they were accommodating and found us a table quickly. The lady who served us was lovely and took...our orders within 5 minutes of us being seated. As they were very busy we were very surprised that our coffee orders turned up in less than 10 minutes later & our cooked breakfast arrived within 5-10 minutes after that…all together as well! Impressive! Thank you for the awesome and quick service and the food was delicious! Thanks again.More

Very busy, so book a table if you want to eat over peak times, but a delicious menu for brunch and great coffee. Grab a table overlooking the lake, and don't forget to check out the collection of replica model boats that once used the...lake. Very interesting museum.More

We stopped hear for a well earned rest after a 4 mile walk along the lake from our hotel in Queenstown, we sat outside on the deck and enjoyed some lovely food & drinks with great views across the lake. Note: Wheelchair accessible with a...clean accessible toiletMore

Outstanding - one the the best breakfasts. Food was amazing, service and staff really friendly, and the site on the water is so pretty
