My wife had been here before and suggested it was the sort of place I would like, though having read a couple of the more recent reviews I wasn't so sure. Really glad we did though as I couldn't find a thing wrong with it. I booked it a couple of days in advance which was a good move as... More

I took a friend for a birthday meal mid week, this is a small restaurant, and appears always busy. We had the house white wine which was good , although one can take your own if so wished. Starter of garlic bread very fresh. The main I have the chicken with smoked salmon which worked well, good vegatables too. My... More

Only our view, but was unhappy with being offered a table upstairs, even when tables empty downstairs, when my friend is clearly disabled.. we did manage to get upstairs as didnt want to cause a fuss. food was edible, but not amazing, and we were under the impression we could bring our own soft drinks in, which was not the... The meal was nice and because you can bring your own wine it makes it a very reasonably priced evening. It had a lovely busy feeling with plenty of atmosphere as it was a Saturday evening.

On a Tuesday this place was packed. great mixture of different age groups all having a good time. The ground floor feels like someone's dining room, very simple and cosy on a cold night. Service was good. Prawns for starters along with asked for bread. I had Lasagne which was excellent, very thin pasta and my pal had chicken breast... More

We ate there early on a Friday evening ! This was first visit and definitely the last !. The best thing about this place is the young waiter with the glasses and the american accent !.my starter was off the specials menu and had a cold filling my calzone wasn't cooked properly and the pizza dough was bad !. my... Trattoria means simple down to earth decor and food, which this place delivers. We have been here many times. The first time was shortly after it's opening before it (due to demand)installed extra dining upstairs: which tells you a lot. On this occasion we had just that afternoon returned home from a holiday. We decided to extend our holiday and... More

We have visited this restaurant several times before and have been happy with the food, service and atmosphere. We therefore decided to go again with some friends who came up from Kent to help us celebrate a significant birthday. The whole experience was very disappointing. We had to wait one and a half hours for our main course and were... More

Whilst we are sorry that our service did not meet your expectation on the last occasion you visited us, your title "chasing the money" confuses me. As you yourself have stated, you have visited a number of times and enjoyed your experience with us. Did you share a positive review on those occasions? I do accept that at times we... More

Loved this little restaurant. Very cosy, lovely staff, food was great. Not expensive, and you can take your own drinks. Definitely go back again.
