Local calamari fried with chips was very nice. Greek salad was the same as the garnish with the calamari plus feta so not great. Coffee terrible. Pleasant friendly service.

The name of the restaurant says it all It's chokka block The 1st of January 2017 was my first visit to this restaurant and I don't regret it at all. I also went today 😂😉👌 I had the "sweet potato chips" which were delicious and I also had the Garlic Bread starter sprinkled with feta cheese which was massive and... More
This is a wonderful restaurant aand the food is simply delicious. Have the garlic and blue cheese escargot for starters. The service is friendly and good.
We wanted to go out to St Francis Port for a meal and out of all the places there I'm convinced we picked the worst! The food is not average, in fact it is WAAAY under average! My family ordered starters, fish and chips (grilled and fried) and calamari, we all left feeling like we expected a decent meal and... More
We wanted a view over the Harbour and wow did we get excatly that! The scallops and oysters for starters was perfect! Then the main course calamari, prawn and Dorado was superb. Good selection of wines... Our waitress Denise was excellent!!! Would definately recommend this place to anybody else!!! Thanx for a great excperience!!!
Ordered the mussel starter, was full of oil, and just a few tiny mussels. Inedible. Also full of grit. The bread that accompanied it was not homemade and dry. Waitress was friendly however. Good location. It is a pity.
The best seafood I ever ate. It is very clear that this is a place where friends like to meet and eat. You sit right on the harbour's edge on the first floor which give a very good view over the harbour and the sea
What a delightful experience arriving at the Chokka Block with a welcoming greeting, watching fresh fish arriving in the harbour. Wonderful menu, plenty of choices, I settled on having the Cape Salmon (Geelbek) which was grilled to perfection and the portion far from small. For the great service, quality of the food, superb view and lovely ambience, I would highly... More
This is a very dated restaurant advertising itself as the "best seafood restaurant " disappointing small portions and I am still not convinced I had Kingklip and instead was served the lower cost hake but charged the higher price! Chips were frozen it was Cape Town prices but nothing like the quality. The owner seemed completely disinterested, she knew we... More
Firstly, the there is only a single person serving every customer. The service is very far from warm and welcoming. I felt almost unwanted when I entered the restaurant. The prices on the menu were rather inflated. We decided to ignore the bad start, and placed an order. Preparation took quite a while, which I can forgive if the taste... More
