Very good burger very bad service

Good situation next to ski resort Grands Montets. Very good meat. We ordered some burgers done differently, but we got burgers cooked at the same point… we asked to more cooking time for a couple of them, after an unacceptable delay they served the burger at same initial cooking point...Furthermore we tried to customize hamburger ingredients: misunderstanding... more delays…Finally we accepted wrong restaurant choice…no more complaints, just eat, at the end meal tastes good when you are hungry.

Best hot chocolate we had in Chamonix

Located at the end of a piste next to a lift so a great place for a mid-ski break! Quick service and friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

An extremely long waiting time for this first day of opening. Dishes not at all up to par: barely warm pumpkin soup, Savoyard crust made with pieces of baguette, potatoes from the tartiflette which have not been peeled and the dish of the day at the level of a school canteen. In short, a first day with a new chef in great difficulty! As for the prices, they obviously do not correspond to what we had on our plates! Nevertheless, a friendly welcome…

Appalling service, told to move twice when the restaurant was empty

I live in the valley and I’m the customer who keep these places ticking over in low season, for lunch and coffees. Today I was told to move twice by someone who has the worst manners I have ever experienced. I know this is a busy place but it was empty, lacking some sense was also evident. If you need a table people are cool to move once you use some professionalism and offer an alternative. Pity I really like the food but I’m done.

The spot is magnificent, the staff are adorable, the value for money is top notch. We recommend keeping your eyes closed. Knowing that we are a group of 20 people and that they accepted us without reservation and above all with a smile. Dedication to Harley Quinn

We were apprehensive to come after ready past reviews BUT GLAD we took the shot. The wings, putine and pizza were all above expectation. The best part about it was our waitress Lisa who was super friendly and accommodating. Make sure you stop in for great food and drinks!

Just plain rude

Seriously unprofessional. Their lousy team had me seated twice at different tables inside the restaurant during rush hour. Twice they asked me if I was there for lunch, and twice I responded I was just there for drinks. In both instances it was clearly confirmed as OK. We sat, they took our order and five minutes later the so-called manager waltzed in there and said no that he had to seat us somewhere else once more because he only takes lunch. So he offered to walk us to another table. He literally wanted to have us seat outside after I had been seated for minutes with my order taken, I told him no way. Then he said no deal and we just walked away. See that’s the problem with monopoly, people think you will just accept whatever. We crossed the slope, literally 30 meters away there is an other place with equal food better service and pleasant staff so do yourself a favor and avoid this spot unless you like to be treated like crap. Sometimes you seriously wonder who is the customer. PS: I’m French so there was nothing lost in translation. Seriously hope folks who don’t speak French were not subjected to this poor service.

Good atmosphere. Worth a visit after ski-ing back to the chalet. Very friendly local family run bistro/bar/restaurant.

For crêpe

I am not sure about the restaurant, but for crêpe, I can not recommend at all this place, 5€ for “something” that looks a bit better compare to the first plate I have returned. It was disgusting with about half the pot of chocolate, much more than what you can see on the picture. This one, has same quantity of chocolate inside than outside... disgusting...

Appallingly rude

Reserved an indoor table, they tried to put us right next to an open door. When we asked if there was anywhere else, waiter responded ‘see you, Bye, thanks’ ie please leave. I was gobsmacked at his rudeness to a perfectly pleasantly delivered request plus the restaurant was practically empty at this point & we reserved a table at 9am that morning. We are regular visitors to valley, this restaurant is close to ski schools- no brainer for the ease? I’ll never come here again & I’d been in here a lot over the years, yes the service is slow, food comes in drinks & drabs, tables are small & tightly packed - you often end up with someone dipping something if your lunch - this week someone’s long hair in my husband pizza & a blokes bum in my salad this time ( yes the tables are that close!) tbh that’s part of skiing. But when you bother to reserve a table The point is to keep kids warm while eating. Save yourself the bother & go to the Argentero across the piste, bit more expensive but staff are far more pleasant!!

Great value for money

If you are skiing at Grands Montets, you know the food up high is horrible and owned by the ski company. Avoid that rubbish. Ski down the Pierre à Ric piste (a lovely long red run) and stop at the bottom to visit the Marmottons for lunch instead. Consistently good food, friendly staff and good value. Lots of vegetarian choices !!

off the slopes

a busy bar/ resturant right at the bottom of the slopes. Offers a good range of drinks and food. The crepesweredeliciousand serviceis quick and efficient. Small "nibbles" are provided with drinks which offers a nice touch.

Convenient Place for Lunch

Right next to the slope. Ate there cos it was convenient. Ate there a few times. Enjoyed the spaghetti and lunch special (it was steak that day). Didn't enjoy the onion soup. don't order it. Coke was over priced. Wine was fairly priced. Packed to the max during peak season. Waiters and waitresses were nice people. I left a tip each time I went and I could see the appreciation on their faces. The manager (or maybe owner) doesn't smile much.
