By far the best food in San Jose. Varied menu and friendly and informative staff. Well presented plate which is quite something in Spain and a very impressive choice of sweets which had us visiting several more times just to work our way through the menu !!!

Visited with my wife and was very pleasantly surprised. Superb choice of food and drink. Beautifully cooked and presented by a charming staff. The desert choice was again excellent and, refreshing to see, was all home cooked.

Never had a bad meal here yet. The chef owner takes great pride in her work, and it shows. Menus of the day are great, but try the fish or seafood platters, or the terrific tagines.

We were driving around the area earlier and decided to visit San Jose as we had not been before and our friends had not been for years. Having parked up and walked across the bay to the harbour-side, we were enticed to eat here after some friendly banter with the waiter. Once in, there was definitely a little bit of... More

Great food, great service. The spicy olives with lemon were delicious. The Sole was perfectly cooked and the Gambas Pil Pil was super. The portions were generous and one could share with out ending up hungry.

Lovely rural restaurant in the Spanish resort of San Jose. This small town is mainly frequented by Spanish tourists avoiding the brash bars and nightclubs of the costas! I imagined the food was good as the Spanish holidaymakers expect it. I was not dissapointed, salad was fresh and generous and the paella fresh and also generous, the sangria could have... More

We were in San José for a day and stopped here for lunch, largely attracted by the warm welcome from the waiter. Lunch in the sun was a delight and the freshness of the food amazing. We enjoyed a selection of tapas style sharing plates, each one delicious. Try the small squid, light, fresh delicious. In the evening town was... More

Being in a small village like San Jose in january eating might have been a problem had my wife and I not happened upon El Mediterraneo down by the port . Having found it we ate there for the rest of the week and never had a bad meal. The choice of food is wide, even including a few Moroccan... More
