I've now eaten here twice in three weeks and on both occasions it's been fantastic!! The locally sourced food is really good and to see proper in season meats on the menu is how it should be, but even more the chief knows how to cook them and present them really well! The flavours and style of cooking are perfect... More

The epitome of a country pub in the lead up to xmas with a roaring fire, decorations and warm, cosy atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful and worked very hard. The menu was extensive and food cooked to a good standard. I would visit again!

I stayed at the lovely Blaisdon House B&B (see separate review), and was directed here to eat, which I am glad I did, as the food, hospitality, and atmosphere was excellent. This is a traditional village pub, and is very welcoming. There is something on the menu for everyone, wether you are wanting a snack, or an evening dinner, the quality... More

I must start by saying, when we arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff. There was 7 of us for food, the order was taken at the bar, and was then taken to our table. The waitress were great and very helpful. Food was fabulous, but I must say "not cheep" but you don't mind paying if it's good.... More

Really nice to find a truly original village pub with its mixture of locals and visitors. Beer is all local and very good, and food is excelent with well presented modern dishes cooked with traditional quality. Good service from friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Thoroughly recomended.

I cannot fault this place. The food was absolutely fantastic... I have a wheat intolerance and this was absolutely no bother to the chef who made sure that my food was completely gluten free. We dined out two nights on the run and all I can say is that we thoroughly enjoyed all our meals. Definitely worth a visit !!

We arrived without booking a table and timed it just right as 5 minutes later we may not have been so lucky. No doubt we could have eaten at a table in the bar, but next time we will book to be sure. The pub has a nice feel and we were quickly served with a smile. The choice for... More
