It has everything you need flagstone flooring, cask ales, traditional ciders and also a lovely relaxed restaurant. if you're ever in the local area i would recommend popping in trying a beer,... Narrow lanes lead to this old country pub where we enjoyed an evening meal. Food was very good, staff and landlord very pleasant and helpful. Will certainly return when next visiting the Forest of Dean.

The food was gorgeous and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. Traditional village pub in Blaisdon - just across the road from Blaisdon House Bed & Breakfast (very convenient as we were staying there...just a short walk 'home'). Make sure you save space for one of their incredible desserts!

Great to have the pub over the road from where you are staying :))) A popular pub with visitors and locals. A friendly environment with a sunny garden and a great atmosphere.

Ate here years ago and it was very good. It's changed hands since then and I was pleasantly surprised to find it even better. They have some great craft ales (it's a CAMRA pub of the year winner) and the menu is a mixture of traditional pub grub and then some more interesting dishes as well. Great staff, friendly and... Visited this pub for Sunday lunch. Lovely pub in a beautiful location with very pleasant bar staff but the Sunday roast was very average. The beef was bordering on tough, no colour, fatty and far to thick slices but what in our opinion was the worst part was that it was tasteless and the gravy definitely needed some 'kick' to... More

They've reduced the menu and so limiting now unless you prefer meat, especially Beef. No scallops any more, no duck, which they both used to be favourites of ours. Please go back to your old menu. Seems quieter so I think others think the same. The specials board is a bit specialised too with the combinations they offer.
