We popped in on the way home and will be going back!. it was a lovely calm, relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and a spoilt for choice menu! the pies are recommended so we both went for one of those! I had chicken and caulk cheese and it was divine, my other half had the FOD game pie and he... More

We visited this restaurant on two occasions during our holiday in the area. On our first visit my husband tried one of their "famous" pies, which was fabulous! On our second visit we both had Sirloin steaks. Overall the service was good and the staff very welcoming and friendly, great menu, if a bit on the pricey side. The only... More

A small group of us attended the Freddy Mercury tribute evening, which included a 3 course meal, and the entertainment. I had never been in the Inn before but had heard good reviews about the food from my friends and I was not disappointed. The food was beautifully cooked, tasty, large portions, and served hot, to the crowd who were... More

Our first visit and what a fantastic restaurant. We came with my brother from Gloucester. The food and the service was fantastic. This well worth a visit if you are anywhere within 20 miles. We will be back.

Went for evening meal here recently with some friends. Ordered one of their famous pies- delicious! Slightly on the pricey side (£15 for large pie & chips included). Good was hot and arrived in a timely manner. Waiting staff all lovely and very accommodating. Plenty of parking space.

Pub looked appealing with coffee shop attached and advertisement of ice cream. Walked through cafe side nobody in there. Went into pub to enquire about ice cream to be told that adults were £4.80 each. Asked what you got for this amount of money to be told a choice of 3 different ice creams (one of which we were told... More

I visited The Farmers Boy last weekend with my partner and his family. We went for a walk and we planned a stop at the pub/tea shop for ice cream after reading good reviews. We had awful service and we were really disappointed. One of the waiters clearly needs customer service training. We paid £30 in total for 9 ice... More

Stayed last year here, and we had a lovely time. Called in for drinks a few days ago, would have eaten as well but to my surprise there was no local real ale. Very disappointed we left , all they had was Green King.

Hi Andrew, Many thanks for your review, I'm disappointed you didn't eat because of our lack of local real ales, we have 2 real ale pumps, 1 of them we keep with the same beer all year round (a chosen one by our locals) the second pump we change every 2 weeks this can vary between one of many locally... We were staying here so had breakfast lunch and dinner over the course of 2 days. The food is really good especially if you stick to the core items on the menu that the Inn promotes and excels in - namely the Pies which were lovely. The 'specials' menu board looked rather pricey and other TA reviews had not been... More

Description
Welcome to The Award Winning Farmer's Boy Inn Longhope

Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After an evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter in front of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic Gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill
