First of all, just wanted to say that I am a recurring customer of this place since 2018.
Living in the north part of Bucharest makes it very convenient for me and within reach, many times have I prefered it than to go to the...city center as the scenery is so beautiful, it is in the vineyards on the Wine Road (Drumul Vinului).
I have travelled to some of the most top notch places, both hotels and restaurants.
Well, I have seen this place outgrow itself year by year, season by season.
Every season I noticed they change the menu , as very few restaurants in Romania do so, and when I say very few, I am being generous.
Well, I have been here for lunch this Friday, the weather was so nice and I stayed on the terrace, also I have tried new dishes from the menu the waiter told us it was 70% changed.
MY GOD I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE!
The food was comparable to top notch places in London or in Paris, or in Italy, same places I have been to, as I was saying before.
We tried the langoustines risotto (out of this world), some ceviche carpaccio, the shrimp salad (it has some warm shrimps and freshly shaved truffles, plus a heavenly dressing), the coconut bio chicken (n.r. tastes like in a michelin starred asian restaurant, it is heavenly, but please be aware it is not spicy, one has to ask for it spicy, they told me they adapted the recipe to romanian taste).
The meat is of the highest standard in the world (we took the wagyu steak, and this is definetly wagyu unlike other places that market themselves as serving wagyu meat…no intention of discrediting anyone, unfortunately this is the ugly truth…)
In the end, for the dessert the pear was also something that I have never tried before in a restaurant in Romania, all the flavours combined with the wine boiled warm pear: the homemade caramel sauce, the yoghurt ice cream (also home made), my mouth is literally watering as I write.
The staff is always very attentive, beautiful rooms with some great mattresses, actually we bought the same for our house :))), the place needless to say it is beautiful and I have seen some construction going on, so there is going to be a lot of big things happening here.
So I am expecting for Casa Timis to flourish and flourish year by year until it will bloom in one of the most beautiful places in Romania, actually in Europe. Like a Tuscany or a Burgundy experience at a 45 min drive. So proud to see these things in my country, it literally gives one great hope for the future.
My heart is melting.More
