They hold weddings and baptism as another traveller mentioned in a review. You can t sleep at night because of the music blasting. They do this tricky shady practice a la long where they send a hidden message in booking where they tell you there...might be a private event during tour stay but they don t mention its a romanian wedding with music during the night (lautareasca la maxim pe romaneste in miezul noptii). avoid going here on the weekends! the breakfast is pathetic. it s preselected. they give you three small plates with 3 pieces of cheese for two people and 6 slices of the cheapest romanian cold cuts. no buffet! they don t ask you anything about what you want, you have to beg for some orange juice. the surrounding area is not as nice as in promo pics. just two hills with some wineyard and you can see industrial furnaces from ploiesti in the background.More

Due to a baptism taking place there, I felt we should cancel our booking and revisit on a more calm weekend. Though the reservation did not include the option to cancel for free without a penalty, after contacting the property, they agreed to completely waive...the fee and we ended up with a full refund from booking.com. The property itself was the one who made us aware that there is an event and might cause some discomfort in the evening. Truly impressed by their level of service and how important it was for them to make sure a client would be 100% satisfied even if it meant a cancellation! I can only imagine their great level of service when one visits them! we 100% will be staying there in the near future.More

We celebrated a birthday and slept over night as well in their very cozy chic rooms, with a well stacked mini bar, great toiletries, slippers, bathrobes as well as a special sweet treat home made. The food was amazing (we had the best beef steak...and the best chicken bors). Most of their food is sourced and produced with local products made in house or on their farms. The view of vineyards everywhere you look and the feel of a sofisticated mantion is as if you are taken back in time in a very posh way. Last but not least, The service was of the very highest standard! Its as if the staff just read your mind, very kind, friendly and professional, it can only be felt and not explained how amazing our short trip at Casa Timis was!! We highly reccomend you try it yourself!More

The place is situated in a wonderful hill and the mansion is surrounded by vineyards very well maintained with many alleys where you can walk in pace. Next to the alleys are planted various herbs like lavender from which they made a super lemonade. In...the evening all the place are very nice lighting you will say you are in a fairy tale. Here will find different options to spend your time, in the beautiful mansion or in the english bar were you will find a very nice place elegant desing with lots of wooden furniture what give a warm family atmosphere to the area. Also there are a beautiful restaurant veranda where you can enjoy traditional or international dishes all at superlative level and not to forget to mention the splendid wine made from the local hand-picked grapes. The red wine is my recomandation the wine is kept into oak barrels for many months from which it acquires a bouquet and a superb aroma. Not last the the staff is well trained and they make you feel at home.More

We just arrived when the House was preparing for Christmas! We caught the last glimpse of autumn in the vineyard, with all the colors and also the beginning of the holiday spirit ! For the children was amazing that they had bicycles to go on...on the perfectly arranged alleys between the vineyards and for us perfect to have a cognac tasting in the beautiful English Bar (it is just stunning)! The food is wonderful, with a lot of fresh options and most important great paring with wines made by Casa Timis ! It is a place were I want to come again and also I recommend and to event they make with great food and atmosphere !More

First of all, just wanted to say that I am a recurring customer of this place since 2018. Living in the north part of Bucharest makes it very convenient for me and within reach, many times have I prefered it than to go to the...city center as the scenery is so beautiful, it is in the vineyards on the Wine Road (Drumul Vinului). I have travelled to some of the most top notch places, both hotels and restaurants. Well, I have seen this place outgrow itself year by year, season by season. Every season I noticed they change the menu , as very few restaurants in Romania do so, and when I say very few, I am being generous. Well, I have been here for lunch this Friday, the weather was so nice and I stayed on the terrace, also I have tried new dishes from the menu the waiter told us it was 70% changed. MY GOD I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE! The food was comparable to top notch places in London or in Paris, or in Italy, same places I have been to, as I was saying before. We tried the langoustines risotto (out of this world), some ceviche carpaccio, the shrimp salad (it has some warm shrimps and freshly shaved truffles, plus a heavenly dressing), the coconut bio chicken (n.r. tastes like in a michelin starred asian restaurant, it is heavenly, but please be aware it is not spicy, one has to ask for it spicy, they told me they adapted the recipe to romanian taste). The meat is of the highest standard in the world (we took the wagyu steak, and this is definetly wagyu unlike other places that market themselves as serving wagyu meat…no intention of discrediting anyone, unfortunately this is the ugly truth…) In the end, for the dessert the pear was also something that I have never tried before in a restaurant in Romania, all the flavours combined with the wine boiled warm pear: the homemade caramel sauce, the yoghurt ice cream (also home made), my mouth is literally watering as I write. The staff is always very attentive, beautiful rooms with some great mattresses, actually we bought the same for our house :))), the place needless to say it is beautiful and I have seen some construction going on, so there is going to be a lot of big things happening here. So I am expecting for Casa Timis to flourish and flourish year by year until it will bloom in one of the most beautiful places in Romania, actually in Europe. Like a Tuscany or a Burgundy experience at a 45 min drive. So proud to see these things in my country, it literally gives one great hope for the future. My heart is melting.More

We chose a hot week-day to visit this restaurant. The terrace (Veranda) was mostly free. Personnel was very hospitable, we enjoyed the service along our lunch. They were open to propose from the menu, able to describe what is this and that, how it is...cooked and so on. We enjoyed their enthusiasm. Also, no invitation to move on to the next dish. We appreciated the quality of the meal, very well cooked. We wood have expected a bit more as regards the taste and plating but it was fine overall.More

We’ve spent 3 days at “Casa Timis” (Labour day and Easter) and we had a wonderful time. The location is very close to Bucharest (1 hour drive) and once you get here you are able to forget the city life and get entangled in a...lovely&delightful story. The attention to every detail, the hospitality of the staff, the “fine dining” concept embedded in every meal, the wonderful surroundings are the main highlights of this estate. We loved every detail of our “3 day stay” and my daughter’s feedback is the most relevant for us: ‘I had a blast!’. We had bike rides, long walks across the hills, the kids raced during the egg hunt, we had a super tasty barbecue on Labour Day, we went to church which is nearby on Easter Day and so many other activities which made it clear that this place is definitely “a one to return to”. Thank you for everything! We really appreciate how you made us feel especially during this difficult context! Congrats!More
