I tried to book on the telephone without success so I personally called in and booked a table for three for Saturday evening 6 pm When we arrived the place was closed no lights nothing!! Such a shame because the food and service was excellent...in the in the past.More

Taste's bar is the perfect place for a cocktail or glass of quality wine. Then you just have to stay for Martin's amazing food :-).

I have tried most dishes and they are all really good. My favorite probably gambas pil pil and skagen and of course the fish tacos to die for! Always a pleasure

We visited Taste last night and enjoyed Tapas and drinks followed by a meal. The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant was excellent. The set meal was well priced and the menu choices all looked good. The food we chose was well presented and service...was good. We will return.More

Delicious food and a lovely interior. We enjoyed this meal after a day of travelling to Phuket. It was near the hotel where we were staying and we just wanted to eat... but then we found amazing food and friendly service. Highly recommended.

We have been visiting Taste for many years starting when their resturant was at Surin beach. Fantastic “Happy Hour” on Friday evenings, always great service and not forgetting the food quality is first class!

I tried the set menu here and wasn't particularly impressed. Food was ok but did not wow me. The service was very slow and the restaurant was very hot. The waitress said the aircon was on but it still felt over 25-30 degrees inside! The...atmosphere is pleasant but I wouldn't go back in a hurry.More

I have reviewed Taste twice over the years, both when at Surin Beach and in the last few years at its smart new premises in Cherngtalay. On this trip, my wife and I went to Taste twice over our 2 week Xmas. If anything, it...has got better. The first night, only about 10 people, so pleasantly relaxing. Second night (we had not booked based on the previous week!) it was packed to the doors with both Diners and in the Bar. However, Jade, the charming lady half of the owners couple, (Martin is the Chef) found us a table in a quieter corner, which was perfect for us. As usual, service was prompt and efficient by the friendly and very pleasant Staff. We only had 1 Main Course ouch that night, as we had been indulging over Xmas. Both glasses of White and Red wine were good Branded producers, so you always know what you are getting! The food was excellent and, as the evening was getting a bit boisterous, we sat outside on the very pleasant Patio for Coffee. The Menu here is always interesting, but with the best dishes still topping the Charts. Toast Skagen, Soft shell Crab Burger, Flatbreads (Veg & non-Veg - I had one with shredded Beef Cheek!), Ribs, Tibet Curry, Tacos etc. Great choice of Desserts, if you can handle them after all that. They have also opened at Cape Yamu next to COMO Hotel, about 20 minutes inland. Also recommended. Highly recommended.More

Another excellent meal at Taste - never fails. I had the Miang leaf wraps as a starter - a lovely combination of flavours and textures. My partner had the toast skagen, an authentic Swedish dill-flavoured prawn appetiser, which is another favourite from the menu. As...a second course, my partner enjoyed the teriyaki chicken - delicious! I had the seared tuna from the new special menu, perfectly moist and rare as requested, with aioli and a mango salsa, and a side serving of salad which I requested off-menu - no problem at all. Couldn’t fault the food or the service. We’ll be back again soon!More

One of my favourite restaurants in the whole of Phuket offering fusion of European and oriental dishes. The host owner and chef Martin with his charming wife Jade are usually there to greet and chat with their friends and customers. Try the toast Skagen or...the teriyaki chicken. Superb. Food is top notch, ordered beef cheeks, shrimp n fish taco and soft shell crab burger. Service is great and the atmosphere is relaxing, the low dimmed lights make is comfortable. I had returned here a couple times with my stay in Phuket. Food pricing...is cheap for the quality & serving size. Highly recommend!More
