Albatross Cafe is located at the pier of Canal Village. Laguna Phuket. For guests staying in Laguna It is easy to come to us by free ferry or shuttle bus. Our menu consists of Thai and Seafood as well as Tapas and International food. We feature healthy home style cooking without MSG and we can cater to vegetarian, vegan or non gluten requests. Open Daily 9.30 am- 10.30pm and Sunset Happy Hour from 4.30 -6.30 pm and Live music 6-10 pm.

This place is a hidden gem (for us) serving delicious and fresh food that shows the international culinary traces of its patrons. If you stay in the area or when you have transportation it is definitely worth a visit. The tapas like appatizers, thai main dishes and grilled salmon we tried, were all outstanding. We had a very romantic evening. The location is maybe not so obvious, especially now the shops around it close early, but the setting on the lake, undr the palm trees, with the beach in sight, is stunning. In case you do your sandbox pcr test in Laguna you are only steps away from it. We feel lucky we stumbled upon it.

We have eaten here twice whilst staying in the area. The first time we had garlic bread which was yummy and a pizza to share which was tasty but served Luke warm. The second time we both chose Thai meals which were yummy and hot. The meals are reasonably priced and the ambience of the cafe is really nice and romantic of an evening.
It’s easy to get to just hop on the ferry boat and it’s next to the jetty at the Canal Village.
The reason we didn’t give it 5 ⭐️ was because their happy hour sign shows house wine included in the half price drinks 5pm till 7pm however on paying the bill we were told it wasn’t included so we pointed out the happy hour sign with HOUSE WINE included and they said no no … this is wrong. It tainted what would have been a great meal and evening out. And this unfortunately will stop us going back, we were disappointed with their attitude with no offer of a refund.

Dear SarahOliver2016, you’re right and the staff should have explained that a temporary paper sign cover had disappeared, and you should not have suffered the consequences.
If you are still in Phuket, please give us the pleasure of inviting you to have a bottle of our house wine at Albatross Cafe. If you have left already please remind us on your next visit to that this offer is still waiting for you on your return.
We are glad you enjoyed our food and atmosphere, also generously gave us a 4 stars review even after this incident.
Sorry and you have shown us that we should explain to our team that the customer should not suffer the consequences of our mistake. By the way our Sangria is available during happy hour.

We ended up eating here 4 nights out of the 9 we stayed in the area. The cocktails were excellent and with Happy Hour from 5-7 each day it was an easy option to stay on and have dinner. Tree was the gentleman who made our cocktails and I tried a couple of his new inventions which were excellent and am sure will hit the regular menu soon (Pineapple Mojito and a Spicy Tom Yang Goong cocktail). It’s not fair to call this a cafe as I thought the food was high end restaurant standard but at reasonable prices. Ensure and try the Fresh Spring Rolls and Phuket Fish cakes.
The cafe is on the jetty so a great location to relax and watch the sun go down each night.

Stayed at Saii Laguna resort which is on the lagoon and you can get a boat (free) to this little restaurant. They do happy hour (2 hours actually) everyday. The staff were always really nice and friendly and the food was spot on. It was lovely to sit there in the evening as all the lights from around the lagoon came on and lit up parts of the lagoon. Getting the boat back to the hotel was lovely.

The reason for going? I wanted to try the Chiang Mia Noodles .what a disappointment. It tasted like spicy hot water and they didn’t bother to serve it with the condiments. Also served was a very poor green Thai curry. The glass of white wine was undrinkable …. Safer with beer! All in all a wasted evening far better restaurants in the area to try.

Dear Kilogram, thanks for reviewing our restaurant. I am sorry you did not like our signature Kao So I Noodles, I am sorry to say we have many a Thai and Intrnational guests coming back for our Kao Soi Noodles , sorry you did not lke them. The condiments should always be served with the noodles, not sure if it was forgotten by the staff or they misunderstood you, in any case I hope you did ask for them.

Varied selection of dishes, very tasty and we'll presented whether you like international or great Thai food. Draft Singha and great selection of drinks as well. Wonderful atmosphere whether eating inside or outside. We went several times and we're never disappointed. Had a wonderful meal outside one balmy and sunset evening. Staff are great and can't do enough for you - especially Tri who entertained us so we'll. Live music great with 60's music played us out on the last night with "leaving on a jet plane". Looking forward to returning next year.

Very nice Napoli pizza by chef Tony, the Tiramisu also to die for. The restaurant have two sides, one side serve Pizza another side serve Thai and the other inter food. The setting is just next to the Laguna lake., beautiful ❤️.
The owner is a very nice couple, they are in the restaurant business for 20 years, very kind and friendly couple. The staff also provide a great service. They know how to service client.
Happy to go back again.

Situated at the lagoon edge in the Canal Village it is a wonderful place to have a drink/snack during the day and dinner in the evening. The food and the service from all the staff was excellent. Live (not loud) music is played each evening. We were fortunate to get a table on our 1st visit as it is a busy cafe and booked a table for our other visits

Had a lovely dinner with great cocktails.
Great happy hour (two for one). The dried beef was delicious as was the sea bass and the beautiful banana boat salad.
The music duo were fantastic. A great view out on the lagoon.
Highly recommend.

If you are staying atthe angsana hotel consider getting the ferry accrooss the lagoon and eat here. Friendly staff candle lit tables . Gentle backround guitar and vox. There is a wide variety of food ,at reasonable prices . A great place to eat,andthe owner is very attentive . Highly recomeded . Have a mealor a drink and take in the view

It's been a while since I last visited Phuket since the COVID-19 pandemic, but I still enjoyed this favorite restaurant. Meals can be delivered from other restaurants in Canal Village, and there is a wide variety of food, from local to Italian, and everything is delicious.
There is also live music, so you can spend a relaxing time soaking up the lakeside atmosphere.

Been here a few times whilst staying at Laguna phuket. Pizza is authentic Neapolitan sourdough from home. Thai food amazing- aubergine salad and banana blossom salads go well with pizza!

Great food, really not too expensive, very friendly and helpful owner. Try out the happy hour. There was live music the night we were leaving, Thursday, not sure about other nights.
Did I mention great food, great owner, great prices!! It was a pity our hotel did not inform us about this place earlier during our stay, would have spent more nights here. You won't be disappointed!

We discovered this place in October while vacationing in Thailand. My wife, myself, and friends we were traveling with all felt the same about the place.
The menu could not be beat. It has something for every taste, not to mention the Thai food, which is awesome.
Great atmosphere inside and out, great staff, and Singha beer on tap. What more could you ask for?
I highly recommend it if you are in the area. (Make reservations)
