Ordered the ribs, which was a huge portion. Deliciously cooked. And they have guest ales that regularly change. Staff are lovely and faily priced

Met up with some friends the other evening. All very unexpected but as we were chatting realised that time had gone on so decided to pop out for a bite to eat. I had the pulled pork nachos to start and the steak for a mate as I was hungry. All 4 of us were very pleased with the meal... More

This is a very popular destination pub especially for Sunday lunches. There is no carvery but the plates lunches are fantastic, great portion sizes and the quality is outstanding. You really must book for a Sunday, we saw three groups turned away looking for a walk in!

Went for a friend's birthday lunch. We were early but they were happy to open up for us and serve a real ale together with a selection of menus. The food was delicious and the service was efficient and friendly in a cosy setting. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Went for a Sunday Roast, previous experience of the place has been excellent and we class ourselves as semi-regular (eat there 5-10 times a year). The Sunday roast, which used to be probably the best in the area has been replaced by a tasteless, underseasoned and undercooked effort. The vegetables were all undercooked, the gravy tasted like it had never seen... The staff were welcoming and we were seated quickly. We ordered nachos and crab cakes to start. The nachos were a bit dry and would have benefitted from more sour cream or something, and the crab cakes were possibly frozen? Definitely dry though and they fell to bits when cut. The burger was good with huge onion rings and fat... More

A pleasant refuge on a wet and windy day. Good service and good food in a pleasant environment. The welcome was warm and genuine and our food arrived promptly and was well prepared and tasty. My only small complaints would be that the burger was a little dry and the steak a little pricey considering it was a rump steak.... More

Lunch time visit with wife and son. We heard new owners had taken over and I have to say some wonderful changes both cosmetically on the pub/restaurant and the food is absolutely delicious. Staff really friendly and a nice atmosphere to relax. Well recommended and we will certainly be visiting again soon.
