We stayed at the Hummingbird and ate here twice during our stay including the Saturday night Argentinian BBQ and had the shared platter of steak, tuna and chicken which was excellent, the menu changes daily with vegetarian options. The staff are very friendly with great...service. Would definitely recommend to eat here.More

We loved this restaurant so much that we went 2 nights out of the 3 that we stayed at Playa Bluff. The food and drinks were delicious, the people super friendly and service excellent. We highly recommend it! Hi from the Brits with the Smiley...child :-)More

Unforgettable meals in a warm, casual, and attentive environment. The setting is unlike any other restaurant on Isla Colon. You can hear the sounds of the waves as you dine. It’s literally steps from the beach. We’ve been here for about a week and have...had the pleasure of having 2 meals and one happy hour at Hummingbird. The food and drinks are amazing!! There are options for vegetarians and carnivores alike, you won’t be disappointed. I plan on going another time or two in the next week, but thus far my favorites have been the Saturday Argentinian BBQ(heck yeah, platter for two covered with tuna, steak, chicken, potatoes, and salad) stuffed eggplant, chicken kabobs, THE CHEESECAKE!!!, the Golden Hour cocktail, and the Mexican Hamburger. Get yourself here. You’ll leave better than you arrived.More

What a happy memory to revisit! We loved how the whole room joined in for a rousing version of Happy Birthday--and our fudgy cacao brownie is the best way to celebrate. And thank you for sending your guests from out of town to join us...More

Everything about the Hummingbird and Hummingbird restaurant is amazing inclusive of the food, the wonderful people who work there and the owners who all go above and beyond to help their guests and restaurant patrons. I've been to Bocas twice, and my meals at the...Hummingbird have been the best each time. Most recently, I went to the Hummingbird for happy hour and Argentinian BBQ night and the food was delicious. if you're staying closer to Bocas town, the trek to Bluff beach is a bit far and by taxi costs about $30 US round trip; however, if you're looking for a break from the standard food around the islands which involves a lot of salt, burgers and pizza, I STRONGLY recommend you make the trip to Hummingbird. Portions are generous and the ambiance is stunning.More

Breakfast and dinners were fabulous. Best onion rings I ever had, an amazing cooked tuna appetizer, huge and delicious thai chicken wings, Seared tuna was generous and best we ever had (was sorry we could not get it 2 nights in a row!) filet mignon...was excellent, better than many high end restaurants in NYC, Paris, etc we have been to with a great vibe. A mix of locals and newcomers made it really enjoyable! Go at 4pm for the happy hour!More

Best food and chilled out vibe, must try the chicken wings special, but choose anything off the menu and you won’t be disappointed. Would highly recommend the BBQ night.

This place is amazing... off a sandy road in the middle of the jungle and they pull it off! With an incredible menu and excellent service I can see why it is highly rated. We shared a serving of onion rings to start that were...incredible, I usually avoid deep fried food, but the description was temping, wow, so good! Then we ordered steak after discussing where it was from with Keara the server! She suggested we share as it was large portions for a filet mignon, so we did! This was a good call, as it came topped with crispy shoestring potatoes, mashed potatoes and fresh salads! We hung around watching hummingbirds and butterflies and read through the educational pamphlet over wine. Then we had the rum cake & homemade ice cream... more deliciousness! Probably my fav dinner of a 3 week trip, and only wished I had time to return! Keara deserves a “hell ya” shoutout for her outstanding service and bubbly personality!More
