Ventured here for breakfast this morning! Excellent coffee. Spanish omelette baguette went down well. Kids had pizza slices and croissants both plain and chocolate. Really good! As for the cakes! Chocolate and hazelnut and carrot cake! We highly recommend! Homemade and delicious. Reasonable priced too!

Finally a great French bakery in the island! and in fact the same owner as not 1 but 3 bakery, 1 in Corralejo (next to the emergency), 1 in El Cotillo by the lagoons (near Cotillo Beach Hotel) and this one in Lajares (main street). I am more use to go to the one in Cotillo and they have a... More

We were staying on the edge of Lajares (pronounced la-haar-ess in case like us you couldn't quite get it right). And we visiting the bakery almost everyday, The bread is lovely and fresh - even later in the day. The range of cakes and pastries was great, decent coffee to take out and the staff were very patient and understanding... More

We stayed in Lajares and went to El Goloso almost daily for bread or lunch snacks. Nothing was stale. Their espressos were very popular in the mornings, so there is a queue most days, but service is prompt. The staff speak brilliant English, despite my beginners Spanish. The few tables outside were usually full.

We found this place early in our stay in LaJares,, the bread and croissants became our staple breakfast and lunch. Staff always welcoming and tolerant of my useless Spanish. If you struggle to locate it, it is by the square in the centre of the village and has constant flow of people buying coffee and bread.
