Called in for evening meal, whilst staying in the area. A nice welcome from barman and quick service from pleasant staff. All in all a nice experience and value for money

Celebration lunch for twelve: all ordered a la carte, and everybody surprised and delighted by the wide menu choice, quality of the dishes and the finishing touches. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced desserts, too - children's ice creams at £1-75. What's not to like?

Haven't visited here for a short while but it's as good as always. The food is amazing, always cooked to perfection and never a long wait even if we haven't booked. The staff are very friendly, polite and efficient, never a bad word to say it's just a great little place!

Having been here many times in the past I am really dissapointed to say it no longer ticks the boxes for me. The place itself is looking really tired and not too clean, the toilet floor alone would put people off. The curtains are well past shabby chic and more dogs bedding ( no that's an insult to dog owners)... More

A pleasant lunch in the sun in the garden. The sandwiches were tasty (great bread) but the fries were a bit soggy. The service was very good.

Staff and surroundings pleasant although nothing has really changed in the decor in the last 25 years. The Sunday roast was nothing to write home about, in fact I cook a better one, on the plus side I didn't have to wash up.

Pleasant surrounding. Staff friendly and efficient. Food only average. One of our party members had cornbeef hash swimming in fat. Other dishes were lacking in taste.

Went for lunch the other day can say I was not that impressed the pub is dated and had a funky smell. The food was reasonable I had the corned beef hash which whilst wasn't bad was not to my taste to much cream for me

Cannot fault this place. Ate here several times whilst working in the area. Had a different dish each time and each one was fantastic - and huge! The staff are friendly and approachable. I would definitely consider travelling out of my way to eat here next time I'm in the area.

Thank Rob M
