This is a great place to eat fresh fish, in a fantastic romantic atmosphere restaurant. The scenery is stunning, like being in a Mediterranean island. Very good service, willing to help personnel. Thank you.
This place is lovely situated, overlooking the sea with a big seating area on the waterfront. The service arrived quite quickly and was helpful in choosing the dishes. Sadly not much choice for vegetarians, so we created our own mix of entrées, as we did...most of the time in Greece.
The dishes were plenty, fresh and well prepared, the waiter serving us at good pace. All in all, he should have told us that we were ordering far too much food, being there with 3 kids, but apparently doing business was more important for him. We experienced this very differently in other places during our journey...
As I said, food was plenty and fresh, so no reason for complaining about the quality, yet we felt a little bit ripped off. Prices are fairly high for Greek standards.
So a good place, if your pockets are deep enough and you are not keen on top service.More
We recently visited this establishment on the last day of a long trip of meeting wonderful people and eating some amazing food. Neither of which were at this restaurant. The staff were kind enough when we walked in but it all went downhill after that....They disappeared, ignored our requests and the food itself was AWEFUL. We were served the wrong dishes and even those that were correct were stale and sometimes completely uneatable.
To make matters worse, they attempted to over charge us by a significant amount. I believe because we were not Greek based on a few comments I heard from the staff after we confronted them. I speak Greek but they did not know that because I was with an entirely non-speaking group who spoke English to the staff. It was quite sad really. There so many other great restaurants in that area, I would stay away from this one especially if you are a tourist.More
This place is nicely situated near the harbour with a good view of the sea. It has a lot of fish dishes in the menu, not all available depending on the season. Be aware that the majority of portions are quite big. The service could...be improved especially since the prices are a little high and you are charged 4 euro service per person.More
I am Greek, living in Greece, and visited the restaurant with a party of 10 relatives who live in the United States. We were speaking English, so the waiter and management probably assumed we were all tourists. What ensued was a huge embarrassment to the...Greek people, I am deeply ashamed of my "compatriots". We ordered a grilled sea bass, with the waiter ensuring us that the head would be removed and it would be a deboned fillet so that the young kids in our group could also enjoy. What we received, and were charged 75 Euros for, was a platter of fish heads chopped up.... You can see in the pictures, there are jaws with teeth and no meat that could actually be eaten. As if this wasn't bad enough, the waiter rudely insisted that this was what we had ordered. These heads could have been used to make a very tasty broth or fish soup, but in no Greek restaurant is "fish heads" something you find on the menu..... We demanded to speak to the owner, who was not apologetic at all. We refused to pay, and at least the owner accepted this.
This is a restaurant that has an amazing view, and they have survived for years serving poor quality food that is overpriced. The amazing view is a "trap" for many tourists and greeks alike, and the restaurant likely is able to survive without return visits from customers. However, everything other than the view is truly a disgrace.More
We visit here as often as we can Food is always delicious View fabulous easy to read menus and will definitely show you the fish we love the sea urchin in oil boiled octopus is soft and tender greens are fresh large restaurant can accommodate...large groups or couples Bathrooms are very clean but you must cross the street Best whole fish aroundMore
We wanted to order some fresh fish, but from their ~20 fresh fish dishes they had only about 5 available.
We ended getting a Golden Grouper, Red Mussels and some grilled Shrimps.
We also took about a liter of the white house wine.
The food...wasn’t that good, all had a burned after taste. The wine was really plain.
In addition to that, it was really pricey.
Bottom line: Doesn’t worth the price at all.More
This is without a doubt an authentic restaurant. This place has been chosen by the organisers for one of the nights of the week long event for 80 people; so it definitely was not an easy task for this taverna's staff.
The food was very...tasty and plenty of it, with the starters being served in the Greek tradition of sharing the plates (meze). The service was nothing out of the ordinary or exceptional; the staff was fairly quiet and not very chatty, but were quick in bringing over whatever we asked for; so there is nothing to complain about.
I would be interested to have dinner in a more casual environment, so as to test their menu outside of an organised event. Based on this first experience, I would assume they would not disappoint.More
