Always a treat for the family to go to eat in St Clair. They also do the best ice cream. Very helpful staff too.

The other positive reviews on TripAdvisor enticed me to this café when I happened to change trains in Alvesta. Just one block from the train station, I was welcomed by a little sidewalk blackboard advertising the specials of the day. Up the stairs I went...into a cozy café, where I was promptly greeted by a warm personable staff who truly are passionate about providing delicious sandwiches, warm dishes & desserts in a warm atmosphere. I was smitten! Such hospitality I haven’t experienced anywhere in Sweden. The cheerful owner quickly took my order & within minutes I was served a warm mozzarella & tomato panini with a smile! That along with a small side salad hit the spot, very tasty for a quick lunch. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in the area! Thank you for brightening my day & making my tummy happy!More

We stumbled upon this whilst waiting for a family member. What a fantastic place! Friendly, cosy and warm ambiance. The selection of home made sandwiches and cakes were astonishing. The service made you feel like you were at home, one of the regulars. Absolutely well...worth a visit!More

We stopped by Alvesta to get some food. Everyone we asked in the neighborhood recommended this place. We found free parking at the square. Then it was just 2 minutes of walking. Small place, and we saw plenty of younger customers here in age 18-30....The staff was Swedish/Japanese. So we also learned some new language. Food? We took a club sandwich, and it tasted fabulous. Thanks for giving us this new experience. //GoranMore

A lovely gem unexpectedly found in a little town where the main railroad Stockholm-Malmö crosses the Gothenburg-Kalmar line. Excellent Swedish-Japanese food in a very warm and friendly setting - almost like a large, cozy living room. A few, but very carefully selected beers. Highly recommended.

Had a wait between trains here and the ticket office recommended this cafe, glad they did. Nice miso soup with chicken curry and all the produce looked fresh and healthy. Great service too!

Fresh, good selection of food, friendly staff, quirky and sweet locale. We had soup of the day, wich was a wonderful mushroom soup, perfecty served steaming hot out of the kitchen, with home made croutons and a very fresh salad on the side. As far...as I can judge, there's no reason to go anywhere else in Alvesta! Sadly, they don't do dinner. Let's hope they will in the future.More
