For the 2nd time eating here in a few months. The room staff were very friendly and apologized that it was going to take a little longer, which was not a problem for voirons. Eaten as an aperitif shrimp croquettes, with real pieces of shrimp in, main course fish and chips, which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, really delicious. For dessert a moelleux au chocolat, was really enjoyable. We will definitely come back again

On Monday afternoon, 4 of us took the shortened monthly menu with adapted beers. What a surprise! The food was very tasty and we were served very friendly. The lady always gave a detailed explanation of the beers and dishes. There was just enough time between courses to enjoy the beers. Highly recommended!

For me it is somewhat sad to have to write this review. On one hand over the years I have over liked this place as a village brasserie, on the other hand their performance was never great in the four five visits I had this place. Last week is was simply appalling. Having a confirmed reservation, we arrived around 13.15 hrs. In fact there was no activated reservation, all seats/tables were taken and we had to accept seats on uncomfortable benches in the garden. Later we sneaked up on another table when other guests left. The order for drinks was taken around 14.15 hrs. The order for food was taken around 15.30 hrs. and served around 16.30 hrs. We tried to wait, to order for a dessert, but paid and left around 17.15 hrs. To have to be seated there for 4 hrs to consume drinks and one entree was really too much. The thing that bugged me most was that no-one of the staff, including the owners, seemed to care and apologized or something of that sort. Raising the issue ourselves, the comment was that it was unexpectedly busy. That is what we had noticed ourselves. In that case I would say as a former hospital manager, act as a professional. Either hire more staff or close some tables. We were on holidays, so not very much in a hurry, still this was not a pleasant experience. The food was mostly up to the standard of a village brasserie, some OK (burger and steak américaine) some under level (fish and chips). If you go there please have your time-management in order.

First time eating there and t was super. Very nice frame inside anyway (not being able to see outside because it was dark). The food really nice very nice concept for people who like to have the appropriate beer with everything. Many sauces of dishes are made with beer. I don't drink beer myself but I could enjoy the taste of it with the dishes. Very smooth and friendly service. And also a large menu something for everyone. Will definitely go back. I myself took pork tenderloin and it could be a bit juicier but the sauce was delicious.

I was here om a monday for lunch and ordered the 4 course surprise menu. Some og the dishes were more traditional, some were more experimantal, and everything was very delicious. It is definately worth the trip from Brussels

the choice of beers is superb - the experience / expertise and advice of the waiters is great. Very traditional "Flemsich" menu - it would be great if it would change a bit more often

Probably my 15th visit in 8 years, and 10th in the last 2. The food is a balance between home/comfort food and legit gastronomic/gourmet cuisine. Amazing pairings of flavors within the food and with a beer of your choice, based upon their recommendations. A real treat everytime.

Joost and Tom and their team serve original dishes where food and beer are paired in a very subtile way. More than 400 Belgian Beers are served here, but you can also find an excellent day menu, creative monthly menus, a Mondays surprise menu, ...
Since 2009 they run the Best Beer Restaurant in Europe, the Best Beer Restaurant in the World since 2013!
If you like Belgian Beers or if you want to find out, this is the place to go!

We took a main dish and dessert. This was for 2 average eaters perfect. Ask for the accompanying beer or take a fresh Kriek or geuze from their draft!
They have all beers from neighbouring regions.

Very nice atmosphere, at times too loud from beer enthusiasts. Decor is rustic and ideal for a beer restaurant, nicely done!
As expected we took the menu which was paired pleasantly with great beers.
Only drawback, were the high bar stools instead of proper chairs for back support. Caused a painful meal even though the other factors were in order.

Nice place where to bring friends who are eager to discover different type of beers and they pairing with food. Do not hesitate ask questions about beer and present your preferences after that you will be guided to respective beers which fits you. Summer time nice to be outside, autumn and winter, there is not so much place inside, so I would suggest to do reservations.
