Food good well presented and freshly prepared. Family friendly. Staff helpful regarding menu choices. Prompt attention from the front of house staff. The early bird menu good value.

This is another of my local eating houses and is owned by the Patterson family, as is the Plough in Hillsborough, The atmosphere is cosy and intimate with loads of old world charm in the décor. The food is always second to none and if a family eat Monday to Thursday for each adult meal a child eats free. Great... More

We grabbed a quick lunch here before heading out for the day. My husband ordered fish and I ordered chicken. Food was delicious and we loved the atmosphere. Easy to find with interesting interior decor.

Staff here enhance any visit. Efficient, friendly and flexible. Varied menu but always plenty of choice to suit all diners. Not pretentious and the quality of the seafood starters is excellent. This is a very very good place to eat.

Had the steak deal. Was really delicious as were the sides. Daughter had chicken nuggets and chips- could have been better. Service and price good.

As we live just down the road this is a common place for us, as a family, to frequent. We always have a nice meal, the food is good although the menu could do with changing more often. Friendly staff and good selection of wines/beers.

Lunch party for 30 people on Sunday. Traditional fare, served swiftly and pleasantly, my first visit in twenty five years, and Felt the surroundings were a "bit tired"

Just home from a surprise visit to the Pheasant. The food was excellent. Restaurant was really busy but service was superb. Our waitress was Naomi and she very efficient and at all times friendly and professional.

Food is invariably of the highest standard. This is not 'fast-food' so if you want a burger and chips and back on the road in fifteen minutes go to a motorway service area. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable dining and the service is never 'in-your-face'. The menu is wide-ranging with oriental dishes, a variety of seafood and good quality steak... More

This is a good old fashioned place to have a drink in a bar . Nothing fancy and that is what makes it perfect . Leave the pub side and enter the restaurant and it is really nice . Plenty of room and great bar. We found the menu fine with plenty of choice . I must say all the... More

Our menus are designed to offer the best and freshest of local produce, including game from the neighbouring Larchfield Estate and ingredients and dishes from around the globe. As a sister restaurant to the Award Winning Plough Inn, Hillsborough, naturally seafood is our house speciality all year round.

Our aim is to offer something to satisfy everyone's tastes. Our friendly and attentive staff are here to ensure that you relax and simply enjoy a taste of "good olde Irish hospitality".
