Owned by a Canadian couple, run by locals gives this place a very nice touch. Tasty food and fancy drinks you can enjoy on a little island kind of beach.

Dennis and the rest of the staff were great and very welcoming. Not only did we eat multiple times at the restaurant but we also stayed at their hotel (which we also recommend). Clean, safe, perfectly located on a quiet beach.

Beautiful and great service when going on a less crowded day. Good sliders and chicken fingers for the kids. Incredible views of the coastline and of Omoa and the fisherman passing by. Check it out and have a cold beer!

I recently stayed here at the Sunset Playa Resort, now under new management and thoroughly enjoyed the entire visit. The new hotel addition is beautifully done with Hilton class beds, AC, kitchenettes...very nice. The restaurant was also renovated as well as the each area. Great...job for sure. Will certainly visit again!!More

Well the people are the most friendly warm people you could hope for anywhere. The food is just excellent and if not on the menu they will try to accommodate. The rooms are clean with purified water cooler in room and comfy clean beds and...modern decor.More

My first time to Honduras took me to a quaint little village where i knew people who lived in Omoa. I stayed at the Sunset Playa Resort because i was familiar with the improvements and security recently implemented .For a woman travelling alone, I'm not...usually a scaredy cat, but this definitely made me feel at ease. The place is immaculate, inside and out, affordable, comfortable rooms. great beach and restaurant / bar where they have all the rock n roll music you could ask for with a little extra flavor. Sandy and Greg the owners and new operators, are very helpful, friendly and more than accommodating. The restaurant has a very full menu from breakfast beleadas(one of my staples) to homemade sopa de pollo, to a number of nice dinner choices lobster was awesome so was the shrimp, and paella, i think i had tried everything on the menu, or tried to. the staff are also very friendly, English is a bit of a struggle for them however my Spanish paled in comparison. Sandy has arranged for a teacher to come in twice a week for staff English lessons, business permitting and of course its optional, however they seem very motivated to learn. I met people from all over the world here, my favorites, the locals, they make you feel so welcome and i truly fell in love with them. The most fun i have had on a trip in a very long time!! thanks to all of you that made it special! just to mention a few Eddy, Sonia, Lucy,(i could go on, but this is a nutshell version:) and of course Sandy and Greg, I cant wait to come back!! xoxoxMore

Henry was very nice and helpful. The food was okay. However, it was hard to shake off the two hookers who came to our table and did not want to take no for an answer. Strange evening.
