visited here as a party of 3. Service was quick and the staff were all pleasant,if somewhat disorganised. We had different starters, wedge of brie with rhubarb compote, whitebait and prawn and lobster cocktail. All delicious. We then all ordered scampie which was fresh and tasty(requests for more tartare sauce were quickly attended to. Followed by desserts. Enjoyable evening in a non... More

We were not expecting the pub to be busy on a Monday night- but it was- exceptionally busy! The owners apologized +++ for out wait for food but I have to say the wait was worth it! They coped exceptionally well given that only 14 people booked and at least 74 turned up! Brilliant as always!

Had a great experience tonight with my wife and my Dad. Table felt a little small - a table for two that they added another setting to. Other than that, we were very impressed. Although we had a number of different staff serve us, all were extremely friendly and attentive. Food was great - steak one of the better cuts... More

Out for a spin , did trip advisor to decide on here for tea , it lived up to the good recommendations, the manager also gave us a guided tour of their sister restaurant adjoining harbour and co which looks fresh and modern, either or worth a go

Family visit for dinner here was suggested due to its location and reputation for good seafood. On arrival it was clearly a very popular place, every table was taken and pleased we had taken the precaution of booking a table. We were greeted on arrival and shown smoothly to a good sized table in it's own alcove, we were left... More

We dropped in here for a meal when we unexpectedly found ourselves without any children to look after this afternoon and I'm so glad we did. I've lived in Northern Ireland for 11 years and this meal was one of the best I've ever had here - it was spectacular. I had the ham hock (playing it safe as never... More

Telephoned pier 36 a few days ago to arrange to book a table for 4. Dennis the owner answered the phone and although the restaurant was fully booked, arranged for a table to be made available as we were travelling from Whiteabbey to visit this venue for the first time. Arrived early but were escorted to out table right away.... More

After having a meal at Pier 36 with my family I can see why Pier 36 was voted Pub of the year in 2013. The restaurant is located within the hotel in a great location over looking the sea and the lighthouse what a great place to visit on a Sunday afternoon or early evening ,a place for fine wine...
