A great restaurant off the beaten track...a little hard to find, but certainly worth the look. Great decor/ambiance. Cozy on a rainy night! Friendly, helpful, bilingual staff, though table service a little slow. Food was tasty and imaginative. Catered for gluten free needs. Reservations essential.

We visited here recently and went back for a second night as the pizza and the seafood was so great. Their pizza was probably one of the best we experienced through our trip in Italy. A hidden gem in a back lane in the beautiful town of San Donato. Make sure you find it. What a beautiful historic town.

We went back twice for dinner at this wonderful restaurant. Try the pecorino soufflette - it is outstanding. The lobster served over pasta is also incredible. Loved the beers they offer as well as a great selection of local wines.

Found this delightful place during a walk, on a side street in San Donato. A little of the beaten path. Tried to get in one night but full up with no reservation. So made a reservation for the following night. The menu consists primarily of pizza and seafood. I had one, my wife had the other. Loved them both. Awesome... More

We went there for a pizza and we discovered really a nice place, location and surrounding to live a piece of tuscany, where local traditions and style are mixed with italian masterpieces like the pizza! It was a real napoletanean one, good ingredients and cooking style. We got Margherita and Napoli, two classic ones to taste the basics and to... More

We had Sunday lunch here so were not able to taste their well renowned pizza which they only serve in the evening. Our lunch was fabulous and the seafood/fish was a welcome change. I have to recommend the "cartoccio" as a main course while others had the mussels, clams and shrimp, all of which were delicious, too. Their trio of... More

We ate some brilliant pizzas at Palazzo Pretario last night, reasonably priced and the atmosphere was lovely. Staff seemed a little miffed to be serving English people but were helpful nevertheless. Good variety of pizza and brilliant selection of drinks. You must book in advance to make use of the roof terrace: we hadn't done so, so we sat downstairs... More

If you want a chage from traditional Tuscan cuisine, here you can have fish and seafood dishes cooked in Tuscan style. Good service and lovely view

We had our 2nd meal here whilst staying in San Donato. Our first meal was at the local football clubs venue just beside the coop at the bottom of the village and I have to say their pizzas are fantastic and the whole experience should not be missed. Back to Palazzo Pretorio - we didn't book which was our mistake... More

We were given a last minute reservation for 7 people on a busy night so I was already grateful. The food was very good and the staff was nice but seemed a little "cold". The view (we sat outside on the terrace) was the proverbial cherry on top!
