--> To recommend if you want a typical greek tavern and good value! Nice little hidden typical greek restaurant. Service a bit different than usual, don't expect waiters to come all the time and smile, but everything comes quite fast and super tasty! Prices totally...fine! Nice sea decorations and lots of seafood variations.More

Don't go to this place if you don't want to pay twice for the bill ! Got charged twice : was told that the first time the card didn't work but worked the second time. I was assured I wouldn't be charged twice. However, a...few days later, the amount was taken twice from my bank account. I called the restaurant and was told in the most inappropriate manner that this was not the case. The lady owner literally said to me in a rude and aggressive tone 'and don't annoy me by calling me again'. To make it short : customers annoy the owners, food is average (but small portions compared to another yummy places), the 2 other gentlemen owners were sat near to our table smoking all the time, not very nice to be smoked out while eating. No wonder why there were only 2 tables being served. Won't ever come back.More

Just off the beaten path, hidden in Megalochori there is this small taverna. The time here stopped in the 70ies, there is still a LP jukebok and the whole place is perfectly preserved. They have a fantastic outside seating area, food is excellent, prepared freshly...and not expensive. We ordered some fish, and they went to buy at the market, yes we had to wait, but it was great. I went there three times during my stay, the place is off the beaten path, not many tourists stop there but rather a few locals. Definitely recommended if you want real food.More

Really nice simple Greek food, fresh, clean authentic. Priced reasonable as in Santorini. Family run business which I like to support;)

We parked the car and immediately saw this cute little restaurant and were attracted by it. Turned out it was a good choice! Good home made foods, nice atmosphere and decor. The family was even honest about charging us 50 cents more on a dish...(we didn't even notice). I highly recommend this family run restaurant for local foods, and then a nice walk in the town.More

Tiny Family run Taverna. Very good home-like food and warm welcome. Prices much lower than in more crowded places. No problem with parking. Children may enjoy two caged birds.

The tavern is located at Megalohori away from the big fuss of busier locations. The food was really home made and original. The price was OK by Santorini standards. Highly recommended!

I have been visiting Santorini for the past three years. I always bring my group here. This family run taverna is my favorite place to eat. It's in the quaint village of Megalochori. They always cater to my dietary needs. The food is delicious Greek...food. If you want a local traditional experience, make a visit.More
